They are very similar in difficulty but I would say Zaan is the tougher final boss.

Haven’t tried vet yet, but I think scalecaller is way easier, can even accomplish with a pug that does 5k dps each.
Fang lair has its chocking points.

Fang Lair for me. Scalecaller isn't horrible but I found it far less forgiving for messing up.

    Fang Lair
normal vet I say Fang Lear is easier. I walked through it without knowing the mechanics the first time with no issues. Scalecaller on the other side ,... hm, had really some bad experience with loads of tanks that failed tanking the troll/ogre dude (first boss, melee dude). they kept getting one-shot (even in normal mode where I ended up "tanking" with dodge roll and damage shield).
All other bosses are pretty cool. Zaan is a lot of fun.

Actually imho learning the mechanics is pretty easy thanks to the voice over of the NPCs and a general awareness of your suroundings. On Scalecaller, my all-time first run (was vet, group finder queue), I joined a nice group and someone who took the time to explain every boss in detail before pull (they even asked if everyone knew the mechanics at the start and didnt kick me when I said I dont). Of course I read the guide by Alcast in front, but first hand experience and guidance is always better. (dont remember the name, but thanks for it)

Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

Fang Lair by far, but Scalecaller Peak has more interesting fight (I like the first boss).

Maybe I was in that group... I do that. I ask if people know the mechanics and if they don't, I take time to explain. Groups are better when you speak and take time. If I want a perfect run, I go with friends.

I saw much more of a roadblock on the first boss in Scalecaller, whereas Fang lair could be brute-forced with a beast tank/ dps. Fang was a lot more forgiving with pickups, too.

Granted, I cleared them both day one and my groups were reasonably competent (pug). Things may have shifted as more people have run them.

The first boss of Scalecaller Peak appears to me as a mixture between HoF’s first boss, and MoL’s first boss. With the mechanic of an interrupt and self-induced hard-CC. Due to this boss having those four mechanics, I believe that it is the hardest boss of the entire dungeon (from a mechanics perspective). The others are incredibly easy. The only thing is that the last boss seems to be heavily RNG-based. As there are a few things that aren’t out of the player’s control, and from bad RNG can result in a few unexpected deaths.

Edit: Grmmar and spelling is hard when first waking up. Lol.

each one took an hour to complete on normal, but i think scalecaller peak is harder just because of that boss you fight while making the antidote. just felt like is kept on and on and on like a DBZ fight.

these new DLC dungeons kept with the trend they all have: they are pretty ridiculous in difficulty especially on normal.
i complete each DLC dungeon once for the skill point and never ever go back to any of them.

    normal is just too hard!!!
i thought veteran existed to make the content more difficult? so why is a DLC dungeon on normal wayyyy harder than a nonDLC dungeon on normal?

all of the DLC dungeons need to be brought way down to stay in line with nonDLC normal dungeon difficulty so that the casuals like myself can actually play the content we paid for, and the players who want challenge can find that in veteran mode and read the scroll. i believe it is fair and doesnt punish anyone.

low dps groups will struggle with bone menagerie, I personally struggle with this boss a *** ton every time, its not a lack of knowing mechanics. its the friggen senche that will revive every little while and will lock down and most probably kill them if they had any dogs on them, dogs chasing people will stop people from resing too. For high dps groups I can understand why this dungeon is easier, cause the rest of the dungeon is easy compared to that one boss.

It does punish everyone because the normal dungeons (even dlc ones) are so stupidly easy that they don't give any preparation for the vet dungeons. In fact mechanics in normal dungeons can be completely ignored, which sets people up for failure when they go into vet where those same mechanics are one shots even for tanks.

I mean, you completed them in an hour so really, what are you complaining about? You want the new content you paid for to be finished even faster than that?

On normal, both were a cakewalk. 1 hr total in a pug group to complete both on normal.

Vet Scalecaller is brutal and unforgiving. That first boss is incredibly rng dependent. If those ice shields all end up in the center at the wrong moment, wipe. Easiest boss is the giant.

15 min to do both norm.

    STILL TRYING VET SCALECALLER!!!

It's Heavy mechanics based meaning you must rely on others not to F up.

That makes it the harder dungeon, I mean if it didn't require more than 1 player mechanics I'd just do it myself, but people are really really REALLY BAD

I mean BAD. Bad DPS (15k or less) Bad Heals (I just heal myself now) Stupid Tanks (I've only tanked like twice before, but now I tank Scalecaller so I can take care of the Majority of mechanics, hopefully stupid A B and C can just stay alive) and do not follow orders immediately.

I mean how can you get to CP 700 and still be this dumb??

I even try and make it simple, I call out where to go and when, I just need them to follow orders immediately.

BTW I only started giving orders on hour 13, after that I had to take over. Then when our dps froze at 2% during the Giants... And the new PUG member could no longer stay out of the AoE. I threw my microphone and *** the whole thing down

The Menagerie makes Fang Lair much harder than Scalecaller on non-HM.

I think Fang Lair is a little easier on HM, but it's really hard to compare these two fights.
