Concerning the RPG part of MMORPG, what if the Writers provided a selection of Romanceable NPCs with new lines of Dialogue and even questlines that progress the relationship. A new game mechanic that allows the vestige to bond with an NPC, complete a personal story questline, and unlock special options such as making them a version of the Brotherhood Bequeather, or a special "Assistant" you can place in your house.
We already have lines of dialogue where the Vestige flirts, heavily, with Naryu. Thats a start.
You have other PCs you can marry since this is a multiplayer game. Skyrim was single player so they had to be NPCs by definition.

You guys back off, Pacrooti is mine.
I don't see this as a positive approach in an MMO - people are getting more and more incapable to communicate with each other in a normal way and establish working relationships successfully and the game should support this increasing disability and make it even worse?- In a single-player game this can be fun - like in Fallout 4 Cait, Piper, Curie, Nick and so on are quite fleshed out companions, which have some story elements to add to the rest of the game and they add a moral compass, which lets them approve or disapprove of your behavior - this has been fun to play in Fallout 4 - but in an MMO?- Really?
I was pretty amused the first time I noticed companions sending me in-game love emails in SWTOR. I think the companion system in general would be neat in ESO, including the combat aspect. It would definitely help for making housing feel more alive.
