Seriously, who is left that isn't a vampire?

is there any chance we can get some inherently non evil variants of this like say acolytes of Stendarr or Arkay or something comparable without having to be a vampire.

Its out of control.

not a vamp - none of my chars currently are vamps (although I do have one planned because 1- he's a jerk, and 2 - I'd like to see what the questline/storyline is about)

but then again, I don't hardcore pvp, so the passive benefits of being a vamp aren't that important to me, and I detest the visuals (although I don't think the visuals are inappropriate - I think they're a perfect visual side-effect of the choice you make - I just don't like looking like that, so it's just one more reason not to do it)

You can roleplay as a non-evil vampire taking the blood from consenting victims like Count Verandis Ravenwatch of Rivenspire does, though I'm not sure how well that works in gameplay except with the Double Bloody Mara drink. Or maybe you only take blood from bandits and outlaws or something?

I pretty much went WW for my Stam NB but now I never even use it. I would change to Vamp but I don't like that pasty white color.

Purely utility for my toons. My tank is a stage 4 vamp...nothing flame based(vCoA II, vBCII, vBF, etc) is enough to bother to ever feed, its just not much of a disadvantage for all the passives it brings(I dont actually use any of the active skills on my tank, except maybe occasionally the ult for bosses with massive mobs)

Of my 8 characters only 2 are vampires. And not because of the passives though I admit those help somewhat. I guess I'm just a sucker (ha) for vampires and enjoy some side of RPing to it as well.

I would like for it to be something that was not necessary in order to be competitive, and that sighting a vampire was something a lot, lot more uncommon. But it is what it is. And if they nerf the passives and/or the skills to stop 'forcing' people to play one there will be one hell of a storm in here. But at least the complaints about 'I don't like how my toon looks lemme hide it' would stop.

I think what op is suggesting is that since there is such a high ratio of vamps to non vamps, that the beneifits outweigh the downsides to being a vamp significantly

I have been both and I will be again but not on my main, unsure why I hate it ... Just didn't find it a good Fit but I hate that vampire is almost a requirement to make templars viable in pvp.

Vamp has become OP enough even most PVE magica raiders are doing it. This dosen't even mention PVP where mistform is really the best escape for most mag toons and batswarm is probably the best ulti at least for NB and templar (who have poor class ultis) now that storm has received it's second large nerf.

Yea, it's OP and I doubt many would care except that it looks so ugly people hate it.

1. How is it out of hand?

Vampires are why the devs added the Zaan set. Off balance, fossil, powerlash, proc zaan.. it’s over.

I main a Templar and a DK, two classes notorious for lack of mobility. I can't imagine not being a vampire with them in pvp.

Even in pve, the downside to being a vamp is so minor as to be a joke. Sure, there are some fights that I want to reduce to stage 2, and use Harness Magicka a little more frequently, but as far as negative consequences go, it's pretty laughable.

I just realized the other day, I have 3 Vampires, a Stage 4 Dark elf for the Fire resistance and the other 2 are stage 1 just for looks.

1 Werewolf WoodElf and 4 normal... well, if you consider Elves and Argonians to be "normal." I suppose the word I'm looking for is Mortal? Also a Breton and a Nord.

Certain passives are useful for end game which normally throw lore and rp out the window in favour of numbers and min/maxing. Just deal with it.

You see so many vamps in PvP because of the over abundance of ridiculous roots and snares...like literally every skill has a snare attached to it, and if your a magic build that’s not a Sorc,if you want to be able to move you need Mist Form
