Yes, in terms of outfits you can then use those motifs for any of your character, and you only need gold to create the outfit, so no mimic stones needed.

But your crafter would still be the only one who could actually craft gear in those styles and for that you would still need mimic stones or get the actual style mats from a guild store.

yeah, but I mean, who needs a gear crafted by using mimic stones, when I can just craft "any gear" and then change it with outfitter

An attempt at making a gladiator outfit. This doesn't look accurate, as ESO doesn't provide the kind of asymmetrical gear these guys wore in combat, nor the right kind of helmets but, hey, it's something ...

Head : Order of the Hour heavy
Shoulders : Mercenary medium (minotaur works too)
Chest : Minotaur medium (light works too)
Hands : Order of the Hour medium
Waist : Minotaur heavy
Legs : Bloodforge heavy (not many options for a skirt type here, as there's a lot of clipping with the chest piece)
Feet : Order of the Hour medium

Other options for helmet & shield

Daggerfall Covenant heavy (the heavily decorated helmet and the crest with feathers fits, as gladiators would wear this kind of stuff)

Skinchanger heavy (for the "grid" like facemask the murmillos often sported) and Order of the Hour shield (the only rectangular "roman" one we have).

You should try using the Minotaur gauntlets and sabatons, and the order of the hour legs (heavy). I've got all those, and if you mixed assets from mine with yours, like your minotaur chest, the helmet, and maybe minotaur heavy or med. (A lot of pieces are minotaur)

as for mine, here's the pieces:

Head - Midyear Victor's Laurel Wreath/ w or w/o Molag Kena Mask
Shoulder - Akaviri Pauldrons or Imperial Pauldrons 4
Chest - Order of the Hour Cuirass
Hand - Minotaur Guantlets

Leg - Order of the Hour Greaves
Shoes - Minotaur Sabatons

(from the top of my head, I haven't written it down and I am poor in recognizing it now, mea culpa!)
First: Telvanni helmet, Yokudan chest, Redguard shoulders, Ebonshadow weapon, Xivkyn boots (medium) and gauntlets, Dark Brotherhood legs, Ebonheart Pact shield. Colours are mostly Undaunted bronze (?), Altmoran bronze, Dominion yellow, motif master brown.

Second: Ra Gada helmet, Thieves Guild light shoulders, Mazzatun chest, Dwemer light shoulders, rest is one of the Assassin/Thief/Outlaw/DB-motifs - I can't tell them apart sometimes. . Colours: Starlight yellow (I think, a very light yellow from the uncommon-tier), Coldharbour ash black, motif master brown.

Third: Dark Brotherhood helmet (light), Blood Forge chest (light or medium), Dwemer shoulders (light), Thieves Guild gauntlets and boots, Mazzatun legs, Daggerfall Covenant axes. Colours are mostly Undaunted bronze (?), Altmoran bronze, Dominion yellow, motif master brown.

Sadly, the Order of the Hour legs clip through the chest piece's front flap, otherwise I would have used them.

Am I the only one that thinks a complee looking set looks the best? What I mean is... using the same style motif for all pieces armor and weapons...

I appreciate the option of mixing stuff up... but it just doesn’t fit most of the time in terms of looks..

I think the artists did a fantastic job with a lot of the styles. I am looking very much forward to changing my look.

I mean, my bosmer has most of his armor the same, but there's like 11 pages of this thread with pictures of mixed and matched armor that look amazing.

Oh, I don't know, I for one will have one of my Outfits on my main consist of Daggerfall Covenant Greaves, Ebonheart Pact Cuirass, Xivkyn Helm, Ebonheart Pact Gauntlets. Not 100% decided on the Shoulders, Waist and Feet yet...

Mixing and matching allows for creativity and creating your own look, it's a bit generic to not make your outfit your own in some contexts

Where is the creativity in that? The fact that you can mix things together is what makes this special; you get to see how creative people can be.
