Yesterday I proved my actual set with buff. Spell critical is always the same, but spell damage increase to 3100. So, the damage is really good, but the critical chance is low.
Didn't use the power surge, i think is better inner light. But critical % is still near 45%.

Hey, btw, what's the general consensus on the AS destro? Worth using over fourth trials set bonus? Just one in group? Or is it redundant no matter what?

If you have a perfect asylum staff AND run a force pulse build, it is absolutely Best in Slot. If you are running a heavy attack build, it's frankly worthless. If you have a non-perfect asylum staff, I think its close to a wash with a trial staff (edit: again assuming you run a FP build).

Necro 5 julianos 5 pump all into magicka and Mundus Stone that gives Magicka.

Your spell damage won't look high in number..but the high Magicka and crit will basically be doing insane damage.

Magicka is best state for running a pet build

Depends on a build, and a group support
HA pet build = 800ish reg average
FP petless build = 1200ish

I'm an highelf. But idk if I've completed the build.

Now I deal 30k damage with the crystals when I'm good. An average of 20/28k of damage with curse and crystals.

One thing I would say is don’t just go off the tool tip for the heavy hitters like that. Your dots / light and heavy attacks also account for damage (more so than one off hits like frags etc)

Now I've 46k magicka.. If I change my mundus from the mage to something can give me spell power?

Most magicka skills scale with both spell damage and maximum magicka/10.5. Pet damage and shields are the only exception since they only scale with the latter. Light and heavy attacks scale mostly with the former, so the ratio of maximum magicka is closer to 40. So if you stack a lot of magicka but neglect spell damage you will be decreasing the amount of damage those do. As light and heavy attacks are 15-20% of your DPS, that's not a good idea.

But I really don't understand why my crit % is so low. Really, 45% is nothing ahah.

I don't really know

More points in master at arms,more damage to frags and every other direct damage skill
Also with an inferno staff in main your damage in single target will increase by 8%

Have you tested your dps on a target dummy?
Cause thats the best way to compare setups. Damage from a single skill can seem very high (thats why so many new players fall into snipe spam trap lol), but your overall dps depends on many factors, and your rotation is the most important of them.

So. News.
I've changed mundus from mage to apprentice. Now I've 42k max magicka.
Yesterday in the daily pledge I saw my stats during the battles (lol).

I reached a max of spell damage of 4100, but the average was 3000. A spell critical of 50%. Magicka 42k as always.
In the main staff I've placed power surge instead of inner light (I've to try to put it in the second bar).
You would think that's really good, but when I istant cast the crystal fragments it deals 28k of damage. Not so much I think. The % of crit in the inferno staff (the one I use for single target, with force pulse, prey, crushing) was like 50% but I think I'm really unlucky, so most of damages were white

I have to try with a target dummy, maybe tonight in someone's house..

I have yet to have a parse where my crit % goes well above the bare minimum.
Youtubers usually get that 1 parse out of a million that achieves that, and rush to post it as a video

I've already done vAA without any problem. But I want to do better than this.

As someone said above, you need to have lover as mondus stone and like 45-50 in spell erosion. Very important for dummy parses. Much more important then crit rates.

I've been lurking on this thread and "Frankensteined" a build together based on the suggestions here. It goes against all of my tanking instincts and throws caution into the wind in the name of doing damage. It was a very unnatural act for me to create such a character, but I pushed onward and ended up with one of the highest DPS sorcs I've ever created. So thanks everyone for the advise and suggestions!

The two /facepalm revelations I had while doing this:
- enchanting jewelry for spell damage
- realizing that if you do enough damage fast enough...nothing else even matters most of the time
