Turn off towns as Rez location

It was novel at first, and the towns as flag locations are okay, but the ability to Rez there has created a consistent strategy of reds and blues sending a small team to take the town, then entire Zergs die and port into the south. Too many AD back keeps are close to the southern towns, creating a map imbalance.

Yeah, compare the position of Vlastarus and Cropsford to Bruma. The placement of Bruma makes in a perfect location for DC and EP to fight, since its exactly in between Bleakers and Dragonclaw. Cropsford and Vlastarus see significantly less combat on a regular basis. When they do, its problematic for AD in a way that Bruma is not for EP and DC.

I know it will make the geography lore nerds freak out, but for the map to be equal, Vlastarus needs to be moved directly between Brindle and Nikel while Cropsford needs to be moves directly between Sejanus and Drakelowe.

I'm a solid EP player and even I think AD is disadvantaged by the current map position. Moving Vlastarus and Cropsford would make those two towns ripe for combat while making the map much fairer. Its also a simple change that works exactly like Bruma already does.

I'd prefer them to be moved for sake of fairness alone, not just take away the teleportation, hell the map has been twisted enough both sides have their gripes:

    For example:

AD: Gives other alliances faster travel, which means that they can get to the home keeps easier.

DC, mirrored for EP: Requires Brindle or Robeck, wheras AD requires brindle or faregyl for the same distance, meaning AD almost always has access to it, since fare is generally an AD keep, not being central, whilst DC/EP has to go to a central keep to get the same distance

I see it the complete other way round.

Bruma makes for an OUTSTANDING AD spearhead to quickly invade the north. And I've observed the yellow zone chat often capitalizing on exactly that. They have single dudes ride there and make way for the zerg.

Vlastarus and Cropsford are often ignored until after the fringe keeps have been sacked. Both villages are just too far away from a lucrative keep to make for a good blitzkrieg base of operation. Especially Crops with that f@#$/ river. Wtb ferry.

There's indeed really only the AD home keeps close enough, which are only important with scrolls. Once AD see the villages flagged, they know exactly where you're gonna go. With Bruma, you have Bleakers, Chal and Ales as important targets, and Dragonclaw as a nearby more permanent base.

That's exactly why I'd like to move the towns. Imagine how much more combat you'd generate if Cropsford threatened Sejanus, Blue Road Keep, Drakelowe, and Alessia while Vlastarus threatens Brindle, Nikel, Ash, and Roebeck.

Bruma's placement is brilliant, threatening Bleakers, Dragonclaw, Aleswell, and Chalman. If Cropsford and Vlastarus directly threatened more objectives but threatened those objectives equally by faction in balance with Bruma, those towns would actually become important PVP locations.

imo you should only be able to respawn in keeps that are connected to your factions starting locations via an intact transitus way.

If a keep is cut from porting it´s also cut from respawning.

Limit respawns to either uncut keeps or unflagged locations within X distance of your current position.

People defending a cut but unflagged keep should be able to respawn at that keep, but bloodporting halfway across the map seems iffy.
