Bankers and Merchants

I know there was talk of newer versions and those went no where.

Now what if they added "cosmetic skins" to these assistants, You would still have to buy the assistant, but you could change their appearance. They could then sell the different appearances in the crown store. They could just recycle the existing merchants and bankers from throughout the game. As in you could buy a skin that looks like the dagger fall bank, or if you wanted one of the more sketchy outlaw bankers. Plenty of different merchants out there too. Maybe change which model is for sale every week or so, to keep them mixed. It would make it so we don't see 10 of the same purple robed Dunmer bankers running around.

Those assistants are already too expensive as they are... I would like them but I can not bring myself to buy them in all good conscience.. I will continue to play Inventory Online as I have from start lol

I know, new versions were datamined (a wood elf merchant and an Imperial banker, I believe?) but they never released them. I flat-out refuse to buy their current merchant, because her weird grin makes her look like she's high. Sorry, it's the truth. If they'd toned down that smile a bit, I would have happily bought her.

If they released somebody that has the full functionality of the bank and a merchant I would be interested. But as they are at the moment Id rather just continue to spend the 10 seconds travelling to town.

Let us apply our own account-wide appearance collectibles to assistants. Costumes, personalities, polymorphs, whatever. It will add value to both assistants and collectibles so more people will buy both.

I must say that, as someone who doesn't like spending money, I can advise that the banker is worth every penny, unless you are mostly doing pvp. I used the last crown sale to buy mine, so now is a good time to get the banker if you want it.

If you farm for income the merchant is invaluable as well, you can sell off junk for longer runs before you bags fill with good stuff. The banker is a must-have, I can store all my armor sets and pull one if I run into that one situation where I need it.

Honestly? I don't see why there can't be some way to alter the race of your merchant or banker to any race you want.

Believe the logic is, having one look let's all know what it is. But you have to group to use and simple tag above for merchant or banker solves that. Wish they could only be deployed out of combat, as they clutter the attack reticule causing misses to the real target.
Agree they too expensive for being lesser versions. For this price bring out a full functioning merchant/banker add in changable skins feature. Skins could then be offered at a lower price for continued revenue after one has bought these. Even has seasonal skins for events.
Current versions have have the function so cut price in half after introducing the full feature versions.

Here in the forums we got official statements from ZO that they planned to release the "better" versions in crown crates. Though obviously it never happened.

IMO we should just be able to customize the existing ones. The game looks like a massive Tythis and Nuzi clone festival as it is and that's not great. But I would not spend more crowns to customise these. The existing ones are functional and the clone problem and its negative consequences are ZO's.

For the price of a cheap costume I'd love to change my banker and merchant. I'm in AD, voth of them don't fit. I'd prefer a khajiit skin/polymorph type thingy

Possibly not. All I can find with a quick search is their statements that they'd have no additional functionality.

But they were datamined specifically as crown crate cards. That is as good as an official statement.

Nothing that goes into the client goes in accidentally. It wouldn't be there to datamine unless ZO wanted to at least float the idea to assess feedback. Their plan was to stick them in crates. I suspect they didn't because no-one was especially impressed by the idea of "premium" bankers whose only claim to premiumship was different VO and skin.

I wouldn’t pay for skins on an overly priced NPCs feature. I would like other models or even better....just let us use the character screen to design them
