Morag Tong Converter Does Not Work

At first this is the offer you placed on the website, and there is an info, quote "Flaunt your commitment to the assassins by customizing your gear with the distinct style of the Morag Tong".

I bought this special edition of Morrowind in general to get this Morag Tong Style without the need of gathering the books and to Convert my existing gears into this cool style.
I'm dissapointed. Not about special items for this great looking game but the inability to use Morag Tong Converter.

It's simply beyond my understanding why you offer a broken feature that doesn't work properly without any information about which gears are affected and which are excluded.
Most popular drop sets like Mother's Sorrow, Sun, Night Mother, Night Terror etc. cannot be converted. A few of my characters use these sets, for them I planned a conversion. I can convert useless non-set armors and weapons that usually go for immediate deconstruction, or a useless white jewellery that nobody use or which don't show any effect after conversion, but not the most popular gears?

Let me know please should I raise a complaint because I received a faulty product or you will give some binding and close ETA for the sets which will be added to the list?

My disapointment comes from buying a product with features for which I paid in full, but which I haven't received in full. The converter is either damaged or not fully completed and in this state should not be sold with game expansion. I want this ability to be available for all my drop sets currently worn, just like you promised in the advertisement.
What say you?

You have never been able to convert dropped set items with the style converter. You can convert crafted sets and non-set drops.

This was the same with the Imperial Edition when trying to convert to Imperial Style. They have commented on this being intended many times. I don't agree with it but it isn't a bug just bad design.

Wait, what? You have never been able to convert set items with the style converter?
I read in description of the product which I'm about to purchase that I'll be "customizing my gear with the distinct style of the Morag Tong". Isn't it that 90% or more of the community uses set gears? Isn't this game based on set items?

How could they sell a feature for RL money, if they knew it doesn't work and the customer is informed that it works without giving an info about exceptions.
Would not only be outrageous but also against the law.

Most sets have a locked style.

Crafted items, generic items, and sets that drop in multiple styles are unlocked. So sets like Willpower and most PvP sets are changeable.

It's been known since release it didn't work with all sets. Those of us with the imperial edition and have attempted to use its converter expected the limited use of Morag Tong converters.

I'd be surprised if any 5pc sets,outside of crafted sets, can be converted. Yes, agility and such can be converted. They are 3pc sets.

And yes, it would be nice if the converted was actually useful.

You used to be able to convert the Marshall knowledge set to imperial style back in the day if I remember rightly so I don't know why this still isn't a full feature

So you tell me that ZOS keeps selling purposely a broken functionality for a full price and nobody cares just because it's the same issue as with Imperial converter which was also broken and never actually repaired because community accepted.
I lost money for buying a special edition and trusting that everything will be as described. Won't make this mistake again.

We didn't "accept" anything, it's just that every single complaint all the way back to PC launch has been ignored by ZOS and i'm pretty positive your thread will fall on the same deaf ears.

I have the Imperial Edition and it has the same problem as already mentioned above and yes, it would be nice if that feature actually worked.

As it stands, i haven't converted anything to imperial in over 3 years ...

As I had already mentioned, all multi-style sets can be converted. Agility/Willpower/Endurance originally dropped in the 3 alliance styles and then that was expanded to include a much wider variety of styles, so they can be converted. And it's a nice feature, too, because it means I can buy A/W/E weapons of mismatched styles and then "unify" them using the converter.

But that has absolutely nothing to do with them being 3pc sets. Most 5pc PvP sets are convertible. Reactive Armory, Phoenix, Powerful Assault, Morag Tong, Cyrodiil's Light/Crest/Ward, etc. I think the only PvP sets that aren't convertible are those in the Abah style, Ravager, and Hawk's Eye. That's because many PvP sets drop in the DC/EP/AD styles and thus don't have a locked style.

Outside of PvP, Twin Sisters is an overland set that doesn't have a locked style. And all of the WGT/ICP set items that dropped prior to One Tamriel don't have locked styles (pieces acquired after OT are style-locked).

In any case, with transmogrification around the corner--maybe in the next major update--it'll be interesting to see if the style locks go away.

With this I musn't really care what sets are affected and what aren't. Also if any multi-style pvp sets can be converted because I don't play pvp and don't use any of the pvp sets.

It has nothing to do with the transmogrification around the corner, the MT Converter is a paid feature now. If it wasn't paid I would not complain.

That post was not in response to you, but rather a response to the rather specific claim that no 5pc sets are convertible.

Anyway, I'm just providing the facts of the matter of what can and can't be converted. I'm not commenting on whether the system makes sense (it doesn't). Just what the system is.

In any case, this is how it has worked since the game's launch, which is why people are blasé about it. And if the suspicions are true about transmogrification coming in Q1 2018, then there's a fair chance that this will all be moot in a month or two.
