Linking Morrowind Edition account to Steam

- I have a non Steam Edition with Morrowind and other bought DLCs
- I buy the game through Steam to link my old account to it
I know that probably I need Morrowind edition, but does anyone know if I can access Morrowind too, buying just a base game edition in steam (once linked to my old Morrowind account)?

EDIT: I think I found my answer in a post from a mod:
"As for Morrowind not purchased through Steam, you should be able to activate the Morrowind game code on the Elder Scrolls account site after an ESO account is linked in Steam."
If by any chance someone can confirm that it works I'll appreciate it.
