@Dymence what exactly is the dye name for the blue dye pic? most of the blues i've put on seem really bright looking

@Dymence Could you say what are the names of gold and blue dyes you used?

I tried everything and I gave up. The costume simply can't be dyed well. The dyes look different when applied on the costume and these red trims significantly reduce dyeing possibilities. The only good looking version atm is the default one... :(

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Could you guys fix it, please? It's a 2k crowns costume, you know...

Blue was Covenant Blue and the gold was Collosal Brass off the top of my head

I was excited for this, I'd not really been looking at costumes as if you can't customise them (dye them) they have no value to me, but as I have a little ESO+ from the humble thing I was really hoping a cool chunky armour would appear so I could get it set up on all my characters, so when this was announced I thought it'd be perfect ... however after seeing how some of the dyeing goes on reddit and such and the permanent red bits, gotta say it's a pass from me.

Now I really wish that I'd gotten that Dragon Priest costume as that one was ht only other I've seen that I liked (and was hlaf the price of this), but it was removed over a year ago I think (and I've only got a couple days of + left so a reappearance wouldn't even help, haha).

Though it does make me think, if everyone could dye costumes would they make more money (from people like me buying them) or less because less folks would sub (but I suspect most are there for the craft bag) ... I always thought dye stamps should instead be Dyers Guild Certificates that'd unlock dying for a costume for 100 crowns or whatever, I know I would have bought them for the costumes I've earned and would then buy other costumes ... I wonder if people actually buy the preset stamps, they seem sorta terrible.

I love how everyone is asking for this to be fixed

    Maybe... possibly... no ETA

This isn't even a question. No, they are not going to change it. At least, not deliberately. I can almost guarantee it.

They must. it's terrible. Unfinished, Expensive and Ugly 'limited edition' release. We as a community must remind our providers at ZOS that an approx 20 dollar purchase should not be released in this state. It's afront to our patronage.

    Disappointed, to say the least.

I have to agree with the majority here. This is a purchase I regret making. As-is, I suppose the costume is "just ok," but I really prefer to customize each costume, both to make it look different than default and to not have any of my characters wearing the same exact thing, even when using the same costume (I'm looking at you, Dark Shaman). Sadly, the red trim which cannot be dyed completely ruins this one, for me at least, and that's not even bringing up the part about how the 3rd dye channel is just for the little strip that hangs from the belt - which could have at least been linked to the chain skirt portion since it takes color so poorly anyway.

What I'd like to see happen is ZOS fixing it for costumes in the Crown Store to have some kind of preview available for the purposes of recoloring. I'd like to know WHICH color channels are tied together as well as how effectively they will take color when applied. Stupid as it may sound to some, I would have never wasted crowns on this one because of the red trim, simple as that.

From what I have read and seen from this forum post and other forum posts the costume is a waste of crowns.
My advise is never buy any costume right away. Wait a day to see what the forums have to say about it.

I normally don't regret buying a costume much, but this one I do. While the costume ITSELF looks nice, it looks terrible on my female characters. I don't have a mage type male characters and I don't want them to wear it. As OP said it also dyes absolutely terribly. Forget dyeing, you won't be doing it. I tried sooo many combinations.

Yeah, I'm just pretty much running around with the base dyes, only have the skirt part dyed darker.

Yeah, I'm just pretty much running around with the base dyes, only have the skirt part dyed darker.

And even that skirt dyed looks kinda horrible because the lines at the bottom, those with the initial darker colour, become one with the overall skirt colour. Someone has done a terrible job, just like with the texture of the free snake pet.

I have more of an issue the way it dyes.
Everything I select is super happy bright my little pony color and no black in game dyes as black, only light gray.

Wanted a deep red or deep purple but noooooo

I was ecstatic to see Divayth get his own unique look and even more excited to see that we'd get it as a costume. The combination of Xivkyn and Telvanni looks so cool. Getting to wear his armor is even more awesome for me because of how much fun I had stealing it off of him in TES:III, so I was eagerly counting down the days to get the costume. 2000 Crowns seemed pretty steep, given that some costumes only cost 500, but I decided that Divayth Fyr's armor was worth it.

But I am incredibly dissatisfied with the product, for all the reasons mentioned above. It is infuriating that it can't be dyed properly and it is so ill fitting on all of my female characters. Such a disappointing waste of money.

Just a heads up, according to the PTS 3.3.2 patch notes:
"The look of the Telvanni Master Wizard Costume now matches what’s advertised in the Crown Store image."

However... I can't actually see the costume on the PTS anymore, since they copied the European server characters over, wiped all of our account collectibles, and didn't include it in the template costume box since it's a Crown Store item. lol

Can anyone who has the costume on the EU server show us what they changed, please?

I'm concerned that all they did was darken the color of the fabric parts, which was really the least of the costume's problems, IMHO.

Can we now dye the red trim? Does it still look terrible on females? I MUST KNOW!
