yeah so i guess the simplest answer is... get a bigger group than them do the same thing but more heal and ... more negates and.. more snares... well... you get the point! Thanks for playing and i hope you enjoy your stay.

I mean, it isn't about getting a bigger group. It is about being in a group that actually knows how to coordinate with one another. PVP in this game is not meant to be solo. You cannot just face down a coordinated 5 person group alone. It won't happen. EotS or not. Nerf EotS because people are out playing you with it and then the next skill they decide to use will do the same thing. Essentially, play better, or make the fight fair by equaling the group size and skill level. That doesn't necessarily mean you need a bigger group.

Sorry, no, L2P or stop making yourself a target by playing in large zergs. Even in the very few times I roll with a zerg I always keep myself spread away from them a bit

A single storm I can handle. It's when cheese groups run 3-4 simultaneously that is nearly impossible to counter. It's been recomended numerous times to make EOTS damage non-stackable, but ZOS does nothing as usual.

Making EOTS unstackable would pretty much render it useless for groups.

I mean I have to assume that is your goal, but is it really so impossible to handle EOTS? If anything I'd rather they nerf Earthgore so the destro groups don't get MASSIVE heals and negates triggering constantly.

O could agree with this. At least something to make them vulnerable. I can’t believe they didn’t learn from Malubeth then seemingly tripled down with that set.

As Mr. Miyagi would say: "Remember, best block, no be there."

One on one these things really arent a problem. Kiting one player is not that difficult. Where they do become problematic is when zergs run a dozen of them at the same time. That said, zergs really arent that hard to predict if you pay attention. 99 times out of a hundred, if you get run over by a zerg, you were out of position or wildly outnumbered. If you get runover by a train of 30 zerglings, it doesnt really matter what ulti's they are using. You are probably going to die.

Then use some form of CC on them.

The fact that you laugh means you don't pvp or you just know the poster or you use the ability. There are times that there is so much stupid in pvp that there is no where you can run. The majority of gamers flock to anything that's easymode hence all the people running the ability.

Surely that just means they won the battle of tactics.

If there's too many people running EoTS and therefore "too much stupid" to deal with then the answer is simple DON'T DEAL WITH IT.

    Go attack another target.

EoTS is ONLY useful if people are stupid enough to let it be.

Aside from being on the opposite side of the map as the Eye of flame bomber groups, how are we supposed to counter this? Since not getting out of the way doesn't always work, I've tried to increase my resists. Buffed, I have about 25k magic resist and I have two flame resist glyphs on my jewelry. Thats well over 6k flame resist by itself. The damage is still out of control and I don't get why they made this ability so insane. Its the nuclear weapon of eso, thats for sure.

Any DK can talons, lock them down.

Any stam class can DBOS the entire group, knock them all down and roll away, All of these EOTS zergs are vamps.

What would be an ideal counter for stam builds is to have the old silver shards back, just bang that in their faces and they'll go down and slow the rush.

Also just chuck caltrops out and snare them a little. 2s delay makes all the difference.

10 stam toons stacking Caltrops can render any EOTS group uselss.

To avoid getting killed by ball groups, don't stand in front of them or potato into choke points. This hasn't changed since the game came out. That meta can only kill pugs and other ball groups.

Yep it happens, It's not easy and nothing is designed to be completely unavoidable. We all have this problem.

Truth is though, if 10 people want to lay down 50k Damage a seconds worth of ulti and hoover people up... It's going to happen. The only real scenario that really works, Is not being there to get caught up or fleeing away. Personally if the end is near and it's zerg v zerg I just throw out some AOE's and jump in put down whatever ulti I can in the hope I get some AP in my death recap.

Guessing the only solution is to nerf sorcs and EOTS.

Ok so far the best answer is to not be at the same place pvping as they are. Excellent. Reminds me of the Marvel character fighting the Hulk:

"During the World War Hulk storyline, Darwin was one of the X-Men who heeded the call for help when Hulk came to the X-Mansion. While fighting the Hulk, he evolved in order to gain the ability to absorb gamma radiation. Darwin attempted to absorb gamma radiation from the Hulk only to find that the Hulk's gamma radiation supply was far more than he could drain. His body then determined the best way to confront the Hulk was to not confront the Hulk at all and Darwin gained teleportation powers and promptly teleported himself out of the Hulk's path of destruction: a distance of roughly three states away".

So basically you guys admit its OP as F

Pretty much yeah. The “counters” offered by those in this thread are laughable.

Sure. You can roll forward through the eye of stupid and watch the rest of the keep get liquified. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that and looked around and it was just me left.

On my nightblade, the counter is bail off the edge and vacate the keep.
