I'll probably be playing with ESO+ for as long as i keep playing this game for sheer convenience of it. for me. before that, I bought the DLC's outright and played without. its perfectly fine. one of my favorite things about this game is that playing without subscription IS perfectly viable, unlike other games that make it anywhere between annoying to downright unplayable.

a lot of people just don't see the difference between "better for me" and "better for everyone" to them - its the same thing, even though nothing could be further from the same thing. and they are not like that just about ESO + they are this way about gear sets. builds. classes. faction. and that's just within the game. they are also like that in real life about their preferences. and in every single one of these occurrences? its pointless to argue. nod, and just do your own thing your own way.

P.S. as others have pointed out, a LOT of guilds are pooling resources, or have been pulling them since DLC and transmute system was announced, to get the stations for the guild halls. in case you are not part of one of such guilds, don't yet wish to buy the station, or DLC? keep the geodes without opening them, when you get close to maxing out your crystals, somewhere in your inventory. bank, or mule alt, your choice. until such time that you can take advantage of transmutation system.
    dirty worthless casual.

It's wrong for people to give you grief, but for most players its so beneficial it seems madness not to have it.

If you are a crafter the bag is a 100% must. That alone sells it, if you into housing the extra items are needed, bank space too. If you play all zones its a cheaper way to get latest content.

Personally I think of it as £9 for 1500 crowns and the rest is free.

I did buy Imp City at the start and like you felt I would never sub, but that bag is too good. And many zones I've been let down by except Imp City & Wrothgar so I'm glad I didn't buy them stand alone.

No one needs to get shirty with you, but talking benefits makes.sense as many dont know

Who even does that? We have crown sales and larger crown packs for a reason. Compare ESO+ to the actual spending habits of people without it, not to the price of something hardly anyone buys.

    Simple math.

Regular price of all DLC: 14500 crowns, or $120 (3*$40, 500 crowns leftover)

Sale price of all DLC: $72 (3*$24, 500 crowns leftover)

Annual cost of subbing: $180 if on a monthly sub, $156 if on a 6 month sub

I hope I helped you understand.

I don’t even really like this game ... all nerfs, no ah, crappy housing... I could go on ...

HOWEVER the game would be damn near unplayable without the craft bag, the 1500 crowns a month are useful, and the 10% research time reduction is decent... furthermore there’s access to the dlcs and the Double bank is really nice.

IF I didn’t have the stuff I get with the sub the game would be miserable and I wouldn’t play at all ...

So for now I’m passing time til a good game comes out and the $10/month or whatever makes this one somewhat playable SO pay up and stop being a cheap [snip].

Sub or don't sub, buy or don't buy dlc's outright. Do whatever you feel fits/works best for you, that's all that matters. There is no wrong way. I think people harnessing people and aggressively trying to have people agree that their way (whatever that is) is the only way, are likely wanting to be validated in their pick more then care what you do.

I told them I know all about it and I'll tell you too if I have to. I am a crafter and I get by fine without the crafting bag, you may need it and that's fine, not everyone has the time it takes to manage my way because goodness knows it can be a pain but it's not 100% needed for me, I get by fine without it, I don't want it and never will.

You can actually buy or use a friends transumate stations. Some guilds have one too. They are for changing traits to items.

Actually someone thankfully told me in-game when I asked over whispers, but thank you nonetheless.

@coop500, for what it's worth, you can get a transmutation station for your stuff from the Rolis Hlaalu. The downside is, this does require you're doing master writs, and that you've been doing enough to earn the 1250 vouchers, the station costs. But, once you get over that hurdle, you can have a transmutation workbench in your home, without spending real money.

Also, one you can port to quickly and painlessly.

As a couple other people in the thread have pointed out, some trade guilds are moving to put stations into their guild halls. At this point, I really wish we could have officially designated guild halls, that guild members could contribute items to. But, here we are.

Wanders off to the weekly ESO+ cult meeting, to advocate the destruction of all heretics.

Yeah I was bummed at first but found this out, sadly I opened one geode yesterday, my bad, but I'll hoard the rest until I find out. One of my guilds might I just have to look.

    OR

    you can spend $15 on ESO+ and get 1500 crowns. . .

    and

    -access to all DLC
-craft bag with unlimited storage that's account wide
    -double bank space account wide
-10% more just about everything (xp, gold, crafting inspiration)
    -double housing space
    -the ability to dye costumes

I get that some people don't want ESO plus, that's fine.

but trying to hate on in when the value for money is amazing? I know people that sub for ESO plus and log on maybe once a month, they sub because they still get the value in crowns and when they log on have like 4k waiting for them.

I have nothing against people wanting to tell me about ESO+, but you didn't see what they were doing.... I kept nicely saying I know what ESO+ is and what it gives and they just wouldn't stop, they just pushed harder and harder and to the 'ignore them' people, there was numerous of them, not just one, that's why I said ganged up, because more and more kept popping out of the woodworks. I was on a quest to leave so I did and the guy that helped me whispered me saying they were still going after I was long gone, which proves that they didn't care what I said and just wanted to push their propaganda on me

but how do you decorate a house without eso plus :0

the second i lose my plus i cant do anything.
    bank full
    houses full
    craftbag gone

my whole life would be inventory management.

someone earlier said he is surving without eso plus.

but those of us with it are thriving.

i have tons of spare sets, infact built a stamblade bis on a whim in a matter of minutes just cause all the extra space let me keep those sets.

    literally 1000's of furniture.

maps and surveys out the wazzoo.

and im able to store and collect all this cause of eso plus.

you may not want it. but some people react badly at the thought of not having it. its to the point that if mine lapsed i probably wouldent even play til i could get it again lol.

I just got ESO+ few weeks ago to give it a try. I did bought all DLC however. If I am planning to play a lot and have a lot of time, I will sub, but If I am planning to take a break or rather do other stuff that I want to catch up, I won't sub. I am basically in between a Non-ESO+ and ESO+ player. I am going to give a few pointers on why I would prefer to stay as a Non-ESO+ member.

    1) We can still survive without crafting bag and double bank space

It is a hassle for many people but there are some that do not mind to put extra effort to manage their inventory. It can be done with ease once you get the hang of it. Of course, doing this method is not for everyone so they went ESO+ instead.

Crafting bags is definitely the number one reason people sub. One, they are portable, so they are shared across all characters. Two, all mats automatically stores in the bag. Lastly third, they have unlimited space.

They are all nice, but I have an alternative way without needing the crafting bag. I can use a portable banker and couple of mules instead, I put all crafting mats into the bank and then all my characters have access to it anywhere via portable banker. If I want more space, I can create a couple of mules to hold other stuff. You have plenty of character slots, I believe you can buy 6 more slots? Yeah, that is plenty.

    2) DLCs are yours forever once bought, well of course until ZOS shuts down lol

Let's say I have a scenario that I have other stuff to do like watching shows, play many other games like on steam, and/or spend time in real life stuff; I would end up playing ESO casually. If I play casually and play only a few days per week, I don't need to sub as I won't be using ESO+ at full potential. Let's say you have a guild that does weekly trial event, you at least have the DLC and able to attend to do the trial with the guild if you feel like it.

    3) I always treat crowns rewarded on ESO+ the same value on crowns that goes on sale for 40% off.

In Canadian dollars, that would be $8 for every 1500 crowns. This is based on 21000 crowns pack with 40% off.

For ESO+ without crown reward, from my perspective, I would be paying:
1 month plan = $10 for one month
3 months plan = $9 for each month for three months
6 months plan = $8 for each month for six months.

$8-10 dollars may not be a lot for many people but it does add up long term. I can use the money I did not spend on ESO+ to spend on crowns that went on sale instead.
