I mean, WoW had a whole marketing campaign about it. I know someone who claimed they were in the same guild as Ozzy Osborne, said he didn't really play that much though.

Not that he was a well known celebrity, but when I joined a guild made up of engineers at my company, I discovered during a luncheon that one of our number was the guy who made the WoW music videos on YouTube that I liked so, in a way, it was like meeting a celebrity. Not only do you know your class on every character, but you can type as fast as you think (100 WPM much?) -- and I'm a fast typer, 85 WPM, but I absolutely cannot type as fast as I can think, let alone play my class and dominate at the same time.

Though on console any grp you join pops you in grp voice automatically, unless you are in a party chat. It's a nice feature when it works.1 -

The problem is that chatting during a fight can cause distractions and lead to wipes. So I tend to ignore chatter and questions during a fight.
I don't do this to be rude. I just do this so I can remain focused and not get people killed. But I always try to answer the question after the fight is over if I can.Edited by Jeremy on November 2, 2017 6:26PM3 -

Well if you can manage it then that's great. A lot of us aren't so gifted though. There is just no way I could type and carry on a conversation while I was in the middle of fighting anything of consequence without getting a least a little bit distracted.
So I would only say please don't think those of us who don't answer you or chat while fighting are anti social or trying to be rude because I bet that most of us aren't. We just don't have your skills. ^^0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I enjoy communication during ESO time. Typically I'll be in discord voice chat with friends and guildmates. I can chat without typing, which is easier for me. If I'm not text chatting, it's because I'm playing the game and I'm not very good at multitasking that way. You might get a "welcome" or "hello" out of me but other than that, I'm fighting and killings stuffs.1 -

I know of 2 for a fact. One is a very good raider (dps) the other is happy to announce all the time that they are 9 trait crafter all motifs except *lists a few pages* and will craft for free just send a mail. The dps plays EU and the Crafter plays NA - I know them personally from my real life job.1 -
