Crow dailies suck. You can't even stockpile the stolen items by laundering them because they won't count towards the quest anymore. The ornate armor and most of the trash collecting ones aren't the worst (still kinda lame) but I would love to see the stealing ones removed.

Huh? Laundered items definitely do count. I just did one this morning on PC where I used my stockpiled stash of laundered items to complete the quest.

That's crazy. I was doing steal toys and games for the first time on Sunday I believe it was and I had 3 items and laundered all of them. When I came out of the fence interface my quest progress of 3/5 was down to 0/5.

On Xbox NA for what it's worth.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally fence them instead of laundering them?

If you relog it somehow understands that they're there again. I've done that several times.

Actually the Crow daily is a very welcome addition in the long copy/paste line of "kill that world boss" or "dive that delve and fetch me something" that we have had with every DLC from Wrothgar and forward. At least it's innovative, and makes for a nice addition to your daily grind. I also enjoy that you don't always have to steal for the daily, but sometimes bring intricate/ornate items, or bring an amount of vendor loot such as hides, carapaces etc.

Now IF you could ACTUALLY steal some CWC furnishing and blueprints once in a while, I'd enjoy doing it more often. But considering that the drop rate is something like 00.000001 %, it does make the stealing and killing somewhat tedious.

Now that I have gotten my CWC motifs completed, I only do the Crow daily when it asks for items, I don't bother with the stealing any more, it's stoo much of an effort when the reward is so tiny. Aka, if you actually had a chance to steal some CWC blueprints in the process, it would have been more fun and rewarding for your time spent.

But kudos anyway to the designers for doing something else, and I expect more of the same in DLCs in 2018, killing world bosses with pugs and fetching something from a delve doesn't really scratch my itch anymore.

This I tend to launder and store items in bank for future use, it also let you steal on other characters than the one who do the quest.

    Dailies are OK.
The one thing I can not understand: why there is no daily-sharing culture in CWC as it is in Wrothgar?
Isn't it better to do 6 dailies within a day and forget about them forever after 5 days?

I liked them. They are different, keeps the shiny crow thing going and are super easy/fast to get done.
Just save a few items in the bank and pick up/turn it in in a sec.

They are my faves, save 5 ornate from writs I don't need more than that. and a do pickpocket run in vivec. I keep some hides etc on me from farming, then talk to crow and sell whatever's left do other stuff after - it takes me less time than any other daily.

    The optimal sequence is:
    • Practice up your Legerdemain in one of the standard ways -- Daggerfall ships, Khenarthi sheep, whatever.
    • Do Thieves Guild quests until Kari's tip board unlocks.
    • Do repeatable Thieves Guild quests, keeping many of the laundered items in inventory or in your bank.
    • When you have a sufficient stash, reject most tips except Covetous Countess ones, and do a bunch of those. That builds your stash further.
    • Only then engage with the Bursar of Tributes.

    Also:
And of course you have to do a few quests in the Clockwork City main sequence before the Bursar of Tributes shows up.

you can do it using your n/b toon, have him/her steal/pickpocket and while inventory full
go with your other toons talk to crow for daily
go back to n/b and launder the items you want, bank them and give them to crow

Oops. Quoted the wrong post. Deleted the quote now.

Absolutely. I made a Bosmer stamblade and maxed out his Legerdemain before stealing was even in the game. Later he did all the Thieves Guild quests. He's not the character who did the Clockwork City main quests.

That said, I wish he had been, and if I play further in Clockwork City he'll be the character I use for it. His ability to run past mobs in tunnels w/o engaging in combat should come in VERY handy.

    Agree
Well it still takes me some time to steal, because sometimes I get tired of cherrypicking stuff to sell instead of letting dustman handle it.. but I go stealing in VVardenfell and the crow daily got me some nice Morrowwind motive pages ;)

No one is forcing anyone to do the Daily ... especially when there are two (2) other Clockwork City Dailies you can do.

Three (3) other Clockwork City Dailies, actually. I guess the fourth has every right to be a bit non-standard. I personally love it! Sometimes I skip it, if my stock has run out and there's no free time, but in general it's very cute and refreshing.

I do a lot of stealing anyway so the crow dailies are easy for me. Unfortunately, until now, I didn't realize you could use laundered items (stupid me). That makes it even easier. That will be good for my toons that are low level in the thieve's guild. I'll start doing Kari's repeatables and save stuff for the crows.

I also have a pack mule that I use to do equipment crafting dailies. I get the super cheap ornate armors from her and sell the expensive stuff from my other toons.

Ah. I'll have to try that then. Thanks. Although I'm almost finished with doing these CwC dailies. Got the achievements and once I get the last two apostle motifs I don't know to finish off all the motifs in the game I can't imagine I'll be coming back much as I get frustrated with the crown and Razgurug not having quests.
