Why Pirharri the Smuggler is so greedy? 35% Cut?

Dear ZOS, it's hard to understand why this NPC takes a 35% cut on the profit from stolen items.
You implemented this cool NPC companion, put so much efforts into creation, and now nobody uses it due to ridiculous costs in gold.

Why so high? Except of some lore related BS everyone can imagine, and which doesn't really matter, as gold is all that counts, why it has to be so much?
I was so much happy after doing the last story quest and receiving the reward before I realised I will never use it :s .

I had to spend 3 skill points on haggling bonus to raise it to only 7% but this damn cat takes it all plus a lot more.

Gameplay: It is a gold sink tied to a convenience. If you don't want to pay the extra, go to a refuge.

RPG: You have a hireling that follows you around, appearing in most places, some of them dangerous. On top of ghat, you don't want to pay them for doing that? Remind me not to work for you!

Convenience as @lordrichter just mentioned. However, I do agree it is a bit much. I hardly use her because of it. I just carefully make my way to the OLR in Reaper’s March.

Yes, you carefully make your way. If you have a bounty, you risk everything. Getting caught is bypassed by selling to Pirharri. As getting caught denies you gold, they need to offset that with the transaction fee.

For me it's not convenience if you loose third part of the money you should get in return. It's a robbery. And regular fence in refuge does not take any cut, even gives extra with haggling bonus, so where is the sense in using Pirharri.
    10% should be max.

If this Pirharri is such a baddass and - by the lore - has to take the stolen goods from me to take to a fence instead of me - she will earn 35% +/- her haggling bonus for just moving in stealth to nearest refuge. Quite unfair, since I had to do all the dirty work and took all the risk.

I see convenience only for Pirharri.

Btw I'm sure all thiefs with eso+ knows the easiest way when you have a bounty and no leniency edicts available to just jump to Anvil Wayshrine with no guards and head to east of the entrance to Anvil Outlaws Refuge, just several metres away.
How much will it cost you? 150g for a jump to wayshrine.
Non eso+ players have many other ways to do it undetected, none if these is so expensive like using Pirharri.
The point is that the cut is just too high, because there are simple ways to avoid danger and go to refuge where we get all the gold.

havent we had this debate on here not that long ago.
if you cant be bothered delivering your goods to the thieves den, someone has to. and paying a courier to transport stolen goods comes with a cost

Can I transport your stolen goods then?
35% of 25k value is 'only' 9k for shipping and handling.
Don't be ridiculous, no courier should take so much.

Have never used her. Not even once. Nor will I ever. 35% is WAY too much when there are so many outlaw refuge's in the game. The convenience she is offering is too expensive.

It does not look like Haggling was intended to eliminate the assistants take.

It would seem the high cost for fencing items through here is due to the significantly lower risk of losing ones loot once one has her in their collections. It is great being able to fence all ones loot if presented for the danger or loosing it all to a guard, which is the idea behind the assistant.

Risk vs Reward. Want a higher reward then make it to a regular fence.

With that said, I'm never worried about losing those crap stolen items to the guards. The ONLY items I'm scared of losing are expensive motif pages or furniture plans or furnishings that I haven't gotten around to laundering yet.

Unfortunately, Pirharri doesn't launder things. >:(

Maybe her fee is because she is related to Pacrooti...

She's good when you have an item you accidentally stole in your inventory and want to get rid of it. But if you are purposefully thieving, she's a waste of time since you will still need to make the journey to a refuge for the laundering.

It's convenience because it's wherever you are, without having to leave & stop the activity you're doing. The fact that the cost of this convenience is more than you're willing to pay is just your personal judgement. Doesn't stop it from being a convenience, any more than being unwilling to pay $5 for a can of soda in a hotel minibar vs. walking down to the corner store for a $1 can.

(I'd also say that this assistant is less efficient than the other two, because this one doesn't cost $50, like the bank & merchant.)

Pirharri is free with ESO+.... she's part of the Thieves' Guild DLC, which you get with the sub.

...unless they are in the middle of some dungeon with their bags full of stolen goods from earlier, and find they have no extra space for the thing the boss just dropped?
I mean, where else would you bother with that assiatant anyhow?
And for such circumstances, the 35% cut is quite reasonable, both IC and OoC. ;)

LOL, loving how everyone is going on about how she is a thief. Think about it, you are getting rid of stolen goods that cost you nothing in the first place. Use or don’t use it is a choice not a requirement!

But she still uses the daily limit of selling items, 140 tops a day. Now if it didnt have a limit, 35% is no big deal. But this is linked to the thieves den fence of daily limit. So if you sell to her it cuts into the selling limit. I was excited to unlock her, until I realised she is worthless.

Agreed, if she's not working with daily limit I'd say 35% cut is acceptable but only if it means I can sale items that are out of the daily limit.

I have been working hard to finish up this quest line to get this Assistant and I came specifically to the Forum's to figure out what the cut was as I probably wont ear the Assistant till this weekend. 35% does seem kind of high, but I also understand the concept is that acquiring the assistant and being able to pull them up anywhere removes any risk from me as a player making it to a Fence to unload my stolen loot. I admit however the time put into acquiring this assistant it would be nice if they had a higher fence limit. I also can see the value of being in a dungeon with Stolen Loot and being able to call up this assistant to unload to make space if needed.

    My takes
I would like to see the cut lowered to 25%, then with the skill points you can get the cut down to 15%
I realize Skill points allow us to increase how much per 24 hours we can fence, but I would like to see the number of fence items increased because of acquiring this assistant, but customize it so once you hit the daily limit at a standard fence, only the Assistant can take additional loot forcing you to accept the cut in profit from the stolen goods, this makes the time spent on this quest line move valuable for those who put the time in to acquire it.

I am still looking forward to acquiring the reward, and I am sure I'll use it occasionally.
