Maybe we have a difference of opinion on the meanings of the words "hard at work" and "improving".

Game has been a little janky lately.

I haven't noticed my latency getting bad. But the game does seem to be a bit slower as of late and I often have to hit the button several times for my move to fire off.

    Nice.

I had stutter when starting up and continuing when transitioning through area's on foot. I still have this.

Stutter seems to be one of the bigger issues with the client and performance, to say nothing of PVP.

The sense of 'jankiness' has expanded.

Yes exactly. But the ZoS white knights act like all is lovely. Sorry but I can't sugar coat it. They have had plenty of time to fix all the lag and PvP issues

Hm my latency in the new trial was pretty good today, so maybe the client is better now? I am playing on PC.

So far, I traveled to a couple of places that tend to stutter -- one really reliable one is around the back entrance to the Hew's Bane Outlaws Refuge (The pipe outside the city wall). Always get frame rate drop/stutter around there, which is weird because there's really nothing there, and rarely any large number of players in one spot -- just a few leaving or entering. But the game always stutters there -- has been for a long time. Still stuttering after the patch. Didn't notice any other improvements moving around cities where this tends to happen, either.

On the other hand, I started the Clockwork City quest, and even in the massive scrum around quest-marker NPCs, the game was smoother than it usually is in those situations. So something might be working more or less as intended.

I did notice while running around in the fetch-quest that leads up to entering the Clockwork City, that full textures were loading a bit slowly on some characters' clothing and armor, even with perfect 60fps and sub-150 ping. Might not even be noticeable on a smaller/lower-res monitor or at lower graphic settings. Made me wonder if they played with LODs a little to ease the load at longer distances.

I have an older PC and I've noticed a huge difference, it's great, I am seeing other players instantly when I zone into a busy area, furniture appears instantly when I zone into 700/700 Tel Galen

I'm personally having zero issues with FPS or latency. Game is running smooth as butter today, and on a major patch no less. This includes both Cyrodiil and The Clockwork City with tons of people running around everywhere.

It's definitely way faster to load NPCs and other graphics when I teleport into my home and then walk out the door (Mara's Kiss room).

Also, fewer cases in battle of hit key...lag...hit key again...lag...OH! you wanted to fire off an attack! All while getting thwacked by a mob. Control response is noticeably better, especially with mobs.

Overall, if things are running this well with the influx of both the festival and the CC release, the game ought to be in good shape once the servers and datacenter network links aren't quite so slammed.

Performance is probably up because of low server load

rest is to busy hanging on loading screen or repeatedly downloading 37 gb fixes
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

So true, on my 3rd repair! I should learn to just uninstall the game on patch days, and then reinstall.

Now that it is on live, I can make the assessment that the areas do in fact load much faster. Don't notice much in the way of FPS difference for me, but others have said they do.

I believe this is in line with what they said.

I hope you're shitting me because I play this almost at max settings with constant 60fps with a rig from 2012 and 560 ti ds video card.

Not 60fps of course in ESO's Zerg PVP or in Cities.

Should have seen this game at launch. Long story short, 90% + of the population left and ZOS had to fire most of their staff. Most games in beta operate better than this.

Aint the performance improvements for this one dealing with Client side stuff, like how they render things? So you should be noticing something with your FPS right now, not your ping.

I've noticed that but I'm not sure it's attributable to this patch.

it feels more responsive, even when i left clockwork city and it was like a horde of zombies outside it. couldnt even find the quest guy i was following in the crowd.

Even when latency was low, I've noticed hesitation in all actions...Talking, fighting, taking or placing items in bank, selling, etc.
