Have you ever completed hardmode veteran Direfrost keep?

This fight is very group dependent. If you have a couple of decent DPS's, it can go fairly smoothly and you can burn down the boss in a reasonable time. However, if one of your DPS is lacking or others don't understand the mechanics to break-free of her life drain stun, then it can be a very tedious fight, or one where you skip the scroll.

Not even taking into account the vDLC dungeons... I think vDirefrost pales in comparison to vTempest....

It's really easy as long as everyone stays alive and follows mechanics....rezzing someone means less dps on the boss. the boss has a ton of health.

I normally tank, but swap to DD gear for that last fight to help kill her faster. She is not tauntable anyway, so I keep Sword&Shield on one bar to debuff her and taunt the adds, then swap to destro staff to kill stuff.

It's a very simple fight and can be done with no healer and no tank, as long as people break free if they are caught, and rolldodge away from the red circles when she teleports. Trash stamina potions are very handy.

Nah, you can skip all bosses and go directly to the last boss, just need some gap closer.

Tempest is simple. You just stand just outside her AoE attack and don't move. Her charge attack is based off distance. So when people spread out and run around try to dodge the tornadoes is when wipes happen.

It's frustrating when you get cheesed by the tornadoes for sure when they push you into the AoE, but if people don't freak out somebody can always just rez that person

One of the biggest bits of advice I have is to let the tank spec damage for just this fight. Drodda doesn't have any taunt able attacks, so you're better off having the tank use talons every so often (won't immobilize, but will inflict maim), and just straight DPS the fight. Something I didn't know till 2016, you can sprint backwards. Use that to escape her big circle, then surround her like a diamond to make sure she never leaves your ground dots.

If you're magicka, use tri stat food for the fight. You lose 1-2k magicka for 4k+ stam.

As long as the fight does not glitch out there is no reason why you can't pass it. Super low dps and a derpy healer can make it through it. Just cc break asap and you're golden.

Use to have a SS of the timer showing that we fought her for 35-40 mins. She would bug out and wouldn't let anyone break free. Only reason we kept at it was because we were laughing so hard at what was happening.

This is not a hard dungeon if you have competent DPS in your group. If you don't, or if people don't know to break CC, then you can be in for a ridiculously long fight. If Stamina is an issue, then just slot Stamina Potions for this fight.

Is it bugged or something? I've heard of a bug where boss got stuck with full health and could not be damaged a long time ago but never experienced it myself. Was a long time ago so it was probably fixed. Hard mode is not much harder. Both require people to break free. Not being able to beat it is 100% L2P: if you can't break free it's your fault for not managing your main resource or off resource. Even magicka characters should have enough of it in that fight.

Hands down one of the easiest bosses in the game. It's just that a lot of people seem to be unable to press two buttons (break free).

Last time I was in direfrost keep, I got a silver key from the pledge so yes, I've not been in vDirefrost. I have somehow managed to not be doing pledges when this dungeon has been the pledge.

The fight is simple enough for PvPers haha we're the ones who are used to CC breaking the most.

Boss ignores taunt, so tank can focus more on DPS.

All you need to do is roll dodge immediately when she teleports to you. Break free immediately when she CCs you.

With a little beforehand coordination it's pretty easy. Literally just a burn boss.

Honestly It's an easy dungeon. Manage your stamina; even on my Magsorc it is a cake walk.

Longest one I did was 50 minutes with that boss.. first attempt for 2 of the players (The DPS). I tanked her, Healer healed them, they hit like a wet noodle, but we killed her without anyone dying.. eventually.

Once you learn the mechanics, it becomes a dps race.

Only slightly hard non DLC dungeon is City of Ash 2, the rest are just dps and dodgeroll when you see red, or don't, not even a big deal

This is very affected by high latency and slow internet. It's only difficult on last boss if you have problems with break free and/or you are seeing her teleport animation late. Use voice to call latter. Have stam pots and break free keybound for former.
I only got this done death free, after a graphics upgrade and my ping dropped below 360ms after internet upgrade. Previously my guildies left me dead because all i was effectively doing was healing her because break free bugs for many oceanic high latency players.
When i returned to game with better graphics card and faster connection, first thing they did was run me thru all the vets and get my no deaths achievements finished. Doing hard mode on this was most satisfying though

I found the biggest mistake most people make on this is trying to dodge roll her teleport + aoe attack which is completely unnecessary (because you can just walk away from it) which then leaves you without the stamina required to break out of her drain attack.

But as said before a quick break out is the necessity on this fight and all it takes is one person not doing it to keep feeding her ridiculous amounts of health.

Just break the stun, and dodge roll if she teleports to you. Thats it.

And there you have it. Now its the easiest dungeon in the game.

this is it, you need to use stam pots, but more importantly, don't block, you dont't need to, she does zero damage and the healer will just heal you through it.
Tank has the atros, don't even dps them they will die in the aoe, just keep dps on her always.
Another tip is hug her. like in tempest. She teleports on a player, but this one is random rather than the farthest away so if you are all right close to her, there is only 1 place she will teleport too. You can literally keep her on the pedestal the entire fight.

It is so easy, in fact it is one fight in all of the dungeons that benefits from having no tank, because she is actually untauntable.
