Just hopped on pts to test the new Version of the Master's 2h and i have to say it's pretty good.
It hits harder than Executioner until 18% and for Targets around until ~11%.
on a non optimised build i could hit for 30k buffs with only Major Brutality and minor beserk.

This makes 2h so nice in add fights although in Single target 2h still has some Problems and Overall survivability is just too low mainly in execute vHoF/vMoL
in add fights 2h has great survivability with the shield from brawler.

@Alcast please create a nice 2h PvE build we know you want it

    I'm naked with 0 attributes and i'm critting for over 20k... and I think I can still make it go a lot higher... need more test dummies lol.

    Doesn't seem very balanced so far lol.

    This is only in AoE anyway. 2H is focuses on AoE and cleave damage so its fine. Its still pretty bad in single target, so that balances out.

    I'm just worried about PvP. The last thing we need is a permablocking stam DK tank with 60,000 HP that can 1 shot 10 people with a 25k brawler crit lol.

    *disclaimer - I haven't actually finished testing whether the above is possible yet. Time will tell lol.

    I really like these QoL changes. It will hopefully make more people go back and run vDSA. Now, if we could only get some buffs to the vma weapons.

    Only the 2H and Resto need serious buffs. DW just needs a change in the way it works, otherwise its perfectly fine.

    That won't happen, in pvp the max dmg you could get from the Bonus is 4500 if you face 6 enemies, this is further reduced by resistance and cp so ~2.6k Bonus dmg max that's not much and brawler is kinda expensive

    Its actually pretty efficient if you don't spam it.

    On 6 ppl it will have great damage, grant a shield, and add a dot. Its only costly of you spam it without utilizing it fully.

    I'd imagine a brawler and reverse slash to one of the 6 in execute will do some outstanding, yet situational, aoe damage. It rewards positioning.

    With the way they are changing the game, just build for damage and you'll be better off. They're breaking sustain builds on pvp.

    If someone has 60K health his stamina pool and weapon damage will be low so the rest of the skill will be hitting really low. Also if you cast skills you and not weaving them with HA because you are blocking you are losing the damage bonus from follow up, the splash damage from forceful and molten armaments and the recovery from heavy attacks. Also only really dumb people will die to 2.5K hits with a 20K+ health pool.

    Well yeah that's the point I was trying to make. You can easy do 12k crits in pvp with a garbage tooltip of like 1500 (tank build).

    You can cast it with S&B ult active, It stacks with varen's legacy and is buffed by literally every buff in the game. CP, Orc racial melee passives etc. It even gets buffed on 1 target by empower and follow up lol.

    I could be freaking out over nothing but I still think it needs some further theorycrafting to make sure it's ok for live.

    But with a tank build it will be rather useless if you don't hit enough targets... it might be OP if it had a huge radius, but it doesn't. It's easy to deny someone the ability to hit several players at once with it.

    Yeah that's true. The more I think about it, it's not actually that bad. As it has a hard counter - spread out. It'll be only good against bad players who don't know any better.

    Getting 40k crits atm in PvE on a tank build btw.

    this weapon will eat a nerf and will be [snip] about when it becomes common

    I'll be using this back bar on stamwarden. It can take soothing spores slot for brawler as a burst "heal" and can be timed with sub assault into dawnbreaker for absurd AOE.

    I'll be S&B front bar for single target and just swap for ult drops.

    It already has. The 2H will be useless next patch due to the removal of weapon damage bonus. And that was the only Maelstrom weapon that can be useful in PvP. The proc damage is so low in practice that even now you are probably better off with 5+5+1 monster head even if you use critical charge.

    since its a setbonus it cannot krit, only the base dmg from the ability can crit, the max 9k extra dmg should be 9k nomatter what

    It does crit. It adds damage onto the tooltip. I got up to 48k brawler crits in skyreach catacombs when I was testing it on Monday.

    @IxSTALKERxI , any more testing results? I'm not wrong in thinking you could just make an absurd tank to clump folks and then basically just have an 11-13k AOE spammable, right?

    Because if that's the case I'm going to just build to troll tank and then brawl folks down.

    sounds op as hell for an aoe spammable. Imagine 5-6 DK with corrosive jumping on stacked 6+ ppl groups, and spamm brawler xD

    Nah I havn't bothered testing it anymore, but for the best results take a look at:

    Heem-jas retribution, varens legacy, Rearming trap, minor beserk (nightblade, warden, slimecraw, combat prayer), Orc passives, Optimized CP, Sub assault armor debuff, 'Follow up' and empower both buff the aoe against 1 of the targets - so solar barrage could empower a cleave against one of the targets for example. You could also pair this up with a VD proc or some crazy hybrid setup - probably wouldn't be viable though but it's funny to think of these things.

    Running 5pc Clever alchemist with immovability potion, 5pc Sword Singer all divine with warrior mundus, and Master 2h

    unkillable due to corrosive and immovable, and ridiculus aoespam xD

    The problem with that is that it's hard to hit 6 ppl in cyro outside of maybe blob zergs which will kill you even with corrosive armor up just because they spam more than 33 attacks in 2 seconds.

    I'm pretty sure there will be some kind of "stam bomb" maybe on Warden with shalks, dawnbreaker + cleave or Dk with leap+ cleave maybe mixed with widowmaker

    Just hopped on pts to test the new Version of the Master's 2h and i have to say it's pretty good.
    It hits harder than Executioner until 18% and for Targets around until ~11%.
    on a non optimised build i could hit for 30k buffs with only Major Brutality and minor beserk.

    This makes 2h so nice in add fights although in Single target 2h still has some Problems and Overall survivability is just too low mainly in execute vHoF/vMoL
    in add fights 2h has great survivability with the shield from brawler.

    @Alcast please create a nice 2h PvE build we know you want it

    I will update my Deathstroke Stamsorc 2H build. And this setup basically works for all classes, just all the stats synergies well with Stamsorc due to passives.
