Pet sorcs not allowed in vHoF??

So a friend of mine told me that pet sorcs aren't allowed in vHoF. Something about the strategy for some bosses being very precise on health percentages idk. Could someone that has completed vHoF tell me if this is true or not and why?

You can complete vHoF with pet Sorcs just fine but if you have a highly coordinated group they will most likely not have any pet Sorcs in their lineup.

There's a difference between being able to complete and completing in the 99% percentile.

Pet sorcs are fine for most of the trial. There are two places where pets are problematic.

On the 4th boss, petsorcs need to maintain careful control of their pets. If "stop DPS" is called on one of the bosses, players need to make sure that their pets are pulled off before overpushing the boss. Also, the fire ring on the center boss will fry scamps, so petsorcs either use twilights or have to be careful about keeping their pets away from that fire ring.

On the final boss, pets can steal healing ticks during execute phase. The incoming damage in execute increases after 60s and then increases further every 15s after that. If your group's DPS is extremely high, this is a non-issue, as pets stealing healing ticks are really only an issue if you need to go deep into execute. The very best groups will kill the final boss on HM in just a bit over 60s after the start of execute, so they can (and do) use pets with impunity. However, if your group takes, for example, 90s to kill the boss on HM, then pets stealing healing ticks during those later amped-up damage phases of execute will wipe you out. For groups that are looking for first-time clears (particularly of HM), I strongly recommend going petless on the final boss.

TL;DR: Pets are fine for most of the trial. Make sure your petsorcs are good at controlling them on the 4th boss, and that they have a non-pet build that they can swap into for the final boss.

Noob sorcs arent allowed because they dont know how to control their pets (Y+block by default)... If you attack the last boss of vHoF while he's in the middle of the room and isnt in execute phase, everyone is getting extra damage (terminal feedback or something). When pets are on the loose, they attack the boss and that kills people.
Its not just in HoF, its also super annoying in dungeons, when scamp focuses some add in the corner and said add becomes unchainable due to stun. Not to mention that it completely wastes pet's aoe potential.
Also they can trigger chain lightning in AA, and maybe Shehai Storm in Hel Ra... Not sure about that, though.

Yea, I forgot that pets also have a tendency to attack the final boss during his immunity/damage-reflect phases.

Also, yes, pets do get Star Fall in vHRC, which wreaks havoc on the melee positions in execute.

Only scamp triggers chain lighting.

I think you'd more so have to be able to control them if you wanna use em. Can't recall but I believe the last 2 bosses have health percentage mechanics.

Pets cause normally no problems for your group in vhof as long as you control them. (e.g. Damage stop on forth boss, shield phase last boss or don't cc aggro adds away from the grp)

But pets can have some problems there with cc and roots since they can not break free/dodge roll out from them.

One click keybinds for petcontrol like petattack/petpassive/petmoveto would improve quality of life for petbuilds quite abit. I don't subscribe to the idea that petcontrolbutton+left/rightclick is a good design.
