Unmitigated Damage

What are everyone's thoughts on unmitigated damage in pvp? Ie.. bleed damage, oblivion damage, etc...

Its fine as a concept - as long as there are limitations in its size/how frequently it can be applied.

Just want to add that Bleed is not unmitigatable, it ignores Resistance not all other sources of Mitigation such as Protection, Maim and CP. I mean one of the CP is even specifically for DoTs.

@paulsimonps Does shields (hardened ward, harness etc) mitigate bleed-damage?? I´ve heard different opinions about this and want to be sure

^^^ As pointed out here, ignoring resistance is not the same as unmitigatable.

Shields do seem to mitigate bleeds in PvE such as the bleed from the spinning blades in vMA. I expect that dot is a bleed.

Just tested to double check, Damage shields will absorb Bleed damage, tested specifically against cleaves Bleed but see no reason it should not work against other sources.

Agreed it's fine as is.

Also its purgable, for templars that can or group healer builds that have efficient purge slotted. No need to mitigate something you can remove entirely .
