Sneaky Nerf/Fix to vMA Bow ?

Now that Master/vMA/Asylum weapons' special effects will be set bonuses , that means you cannot buff them with Infused trait . Most stamina DD players are running Infused on main hand to buff Poison enchant AND the vMA enchant bonus . This change means Infused won't be affecting Thunderous Volley anymore .

What do you think about this ? Do you think running Infused on main hand still worth it ? Nirnhorned might be a better option in this case , need to test .

Please share your findings about this topic . I am really curious ^^

Sounds about right. My question is since it is a set bonus and most people use it on BB, will it get cancelled once you go mainbar?

Hmmm . That's interesting . Downloading PTS now , will let you know . Maybe someone who already has it can test ?

I really hope they just undo this badly thought out set mess. Enchants were so much more unique.

vMA staves will no longer be used in PvP.
vMA 2H will no longer be used by stamblades.

The patch notes call out that the skills like blockade and volley should still work properly since you were on the bar with teh weapon when the ability was cast.

Im downloading pts now as well to look at main hand stuff, but all our initial thoughts were swapping to nirn from infused as well.

Just tested . You need to let it hit the enemy with first tick or it doesn't get buffed by the vMA bonus . Just letting you guys know ^^ Don't swap cancel your Endless Hail during DPS tests

Ew.. I don't like that lol.

Endless Hail itself will deal less DPS but the rest of your damage will go up since you can place another enchant on your Bow now.

It's definitely not like that with the MSA staves, I always barswap cancel my wall. Sounds like a bug if anything.

Probably also due to wall hitting instantly on cast

As the vMA Buffs are now considered set bonuses, you cannot empower them with infused anymore, may it be front or back bar. This results on a noticable DPS loss on stamina builds compared to live, as endless hail lost a big chunk of damage. It is a good thing in my opinion, as the skill was more than twice as strong as the second skill in my DPS parses. It also lowers the ceiling for stamina dds, which might bring magicka more in line again..

If ZOS could fix the scaling of Sweeps and Radiant Destruction I might be able to play my magicka Templar in vTrials again
