Even just an extra five minutes would be all we need for the quest.
I was going to say two minutes, but some dungeons have insanely long end scenes between the NPCs at the end, and it's a nail-biter as to whether everyone in your group will actually stay to let you finish. Even when they know you're doing the quest, there's no guarantee they'll be considerate and stay for an extra minute.

I know what you mean guys, the other day i did a dungeon with random group, was the first time for me (one about pirates, starts in a boat and coast, dont remember the name ) but the group went by a secondary way, ignoring a couple of mobs groups to kill, and the npc Who gives the quest... When we finished, one of the group went afk and i was able to visit dungeon with calma and tried to get the quest or something.
I was stunned about the Great details of the dungeon, that i lose because People go so so fast, and when i arrive to the npc who has the quest, he gave me nothing... And i cant get my npc reward :(

Yeah, if you don't get the quest at the start of the dungeon, you can't complete it.
I think you might be talking about Blackheart Haven. I've done that one several times.

It's a stupid design in my opinion, I see no point of this mechanic. And it also caused some annoying and unnecessary issues, sometimes I don't even have time to turn in the quest!

Maybe you could stop being an antisocial twit and use the provided text chat to ask someone to stay. Very rarely does this happen, but I always accomodate if I can.

Tell your group you have the Quest from quest-giver and for 1 player to remain until quest is complete.

What this guy says. Rude demanding players get kicked and dace the lfg ban/que all over again. Also don't do it on vet if you can help it.

We should not waste someone's time just because this section of game is badly designed. If ZOS has put so much time and efforts into creating all those quest lines, they should let us have enough time to solo listen all of them when others left the group. ZOS knows about the issues described above and should work for the solution.

It's GROUP content, you shouldn't need to be held at gunpoint and forced into working with other people. Rather than demanding changes that could cause months worth of bugs maybe you can try the simple task of communication.

Wanna know what antisocial teamates that expect other people to magically know wtf they're doing look like?

In guild runs it works yes, while not in most the pugs. Some groups are not interested in communication and stay silent when asked. I had plenty of such pugs.
Some solution is to remove the quests from dungeons completely - problem solved.

Honestly the biggest issue are the long dialogs that can't be done during combat. If I don't know you're questing Ima just try and get it over with real quick, problem for you. Crypt of hearts 1 is an example of this. And the cutscene at the end is so long that I thought it glitched.

I pug alot of the easy skillpoints, and in my experience most people are accomodating.

I completely agree. Why do they care if someone runs around an empty dungeon for 10 minutes checking for loot they may have missed or turning in quests?

Simple solution would be have a 5 minute timer auto kick. If a player cannot finish his or her's inside dungeon quest by then oh well. That also gives those players who want to search the dungeon for missed chests or heavy sacks a chance to do so.

Someone stated in this thread to just ask one of the group members to stick until they finish the quest. Well I got news for you that does not always happen. I for one will always state at the beginning that I will be completing the dungeon quest and would someone please stay until I finish. Several times the other players have left immediately after the activity complete notice. So you can't always count on another player staying.

Ever get that "instance full" notification when you ready check? How would that go if someone left your group and decided to go run around the dungeon for a bit?

    do it like this:

when party closes and timer stars, a popup message appears with "leaving the dungeon: E confirm X cancel"

EDIT: but not the kind that doesn't let you move. A message on the screen.

I don't understand why folks are arguing this. If the dungeon ends and everyone leaves the group, the last player in shouldn't be kicked.

Why don't you talk to the group? Because at least on console, group text is broken. Group members don't always have mics

After the dungeon is done I almost always hang out for a few mins and will occasionally get another player who wants to find the chests and it lets players who were looking for gear trade.

Really though, this should be an actual change to the game to allow players to complete content and enjoy the entire dungeon.

I agree. It really hurts the people who are doing the quests and have to turn in the quest. Even when you click through the dialogue as fast as possible, sometimes you still don't have time to finish it before you're booted. They need to at least lengthen the time it takes to get booted.

    Yes, absolutely!!
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

If I remember correctly, the kicking mechanic is one of a bygone era when trolls would leave the group in the dungeon (to get out of combat or something?), and then run ahead and find all chests before the others could get out of combat. I think chests were not yet shared at that point either. Regardless, if that’s still the reason it exists, it’s an outdated feature and needs to be reworked.

so you want to destroy the only way to reset a dungeon and be able to farm ... just because you don't have time to spam E for a quest ?

Some are REALLLLY chatty and take forever to walk around and RP before you can interact. It's not always someone being slow and even if? People have as much right to enjoy their quests as you have to farm.

There needs to be a RESET DUNGEON/INSTANCE button.

    I have a better idea:

When everyone in your party leaves, the game will give you an option, to remain in dungeon or to leave.

Same dinamic as when a party member leaves and you have the opportunity to queue up or remain without filling the missing slot.

While I understand that the kick is necessary for people who leave before the dungeon is complete (in order that some replacement can join), I have two suggestions to address this issue:

    1) No auto-kick after the dungeon is cleared.

    2) Remove the automatic XP for random dungeons and instead make the dungeon quests daily, granting everyone the XP when the quest is done.

I absolutely agree with this. This just happened to me after my first time in White Gold Tower. I just wanted to read the ending dialogue and no, just get booted because everyone else was impatient. It's just annoying and not necessary and makes the game less fun.
