Well master weapons buffed 1st skill in weapon skill lines , maesltorm weapons 2nd one . Then order of skills was changed but still I suppose Asylum weapons will buff 3rd skill in skill line before order changes. So 2 next unique weapons after Clockwork City will buff 4th and 5th skill which means if there will be weapons buffing weapon ultimates it wont happen soon.

No way Asylum staff will buff force pulse which is already one of the most used skills in the game. Previously, Master and Maelstrom weapons buffed skills that were rather underperforming (WoE wasn't that good some time ago...). So I guess the new staves will buff impulse :-)

oh no -_- , ths last thing that we need is " Aoe " nobody want to be able to push more dps in aoe ... switch the staff and a skill just for multi target fight is ... useless cause at the moment in raid and dungeon add are simply " burning " and in dungeon we are always trying to not kill them instantly cause we want to get our ulti before boss ... i still hope they could make it so this would buff force pulse ... currently in my sorcerer i have a disgusting gameplay ... dot-dot-dot-HA-dot-dot ect .. ( 39K on dummy with elemental drain ) whil with force pulse and the nerfed frag i have ... 34K ... and less sustain ..

PLEASE zenimax ,don't make impulse useful ! Aoe fight are already a joke in the game ! or change the base skill .

    I'd flip the table.

But who said it would buff impulse itself. Maybe something like maelstrom: when you cast it or have it slotted, your direct damage is increased by x%. Just guessing you know ;-)

Hypothetically the 6th such weapon would buff weapons. We are getting less than 1 cycle a year, though, so don't hold your breath.

yeah but contrary to impulse , elemental wall is a dot , we use it with or without the maesltrom staff in aoe and in single target ,the maesltrom staff is just a " bonus " but currently impulse is less useful than destructive clench ... destructive clench deal 3% of my dps and i dont want to use impulse that would make less than 2% of the dps in my rotation just to increase X or X type of damage cause this don't seem to worth the lost of 1 useful skill.
the base skill is a " Aoe skill " , elemental wall is a dot and destructive clench is a ... little dot ... maesltrom staff / master staff or not ... these two skill stay a " dot " and a " little dot " and i think this will be the same with impulse ... this will stay a skill useful in multi target ... of course this will make ennemies take more damage from this skill ... but in single target i don't see how they could make it useful without change the base skill .

were talking about weapon ults here, and why destro & bow need to be buffed because they are rediculously underpowered (sarcasm)

please find somewhere else to demand sorc nerfs! ;)

nobody used elemental wall before maelstrom staves were introduced & the skill was buffed, because it was a wasted slot.

we have no idea what the new asylum weapons are going to do, how they are going to work, or whether the skills they effect will be changed.

all we know is that the developers have already designed the weapons asthetics & performance (we just dont know what they are yet) and no amount of input at this stage will change that

Technically yes, but it has taken this long for the 3rd tier of ability-altering weapons to release. It will be a very long time if weapons like that ever release for Ultimates.

Well, technically we don't know xd. And likely not even the devs, maybe at some point they drop the idea and arena weapons buff the first skill of all three class skill lines instead. How cool would that be!

I can't really see a weapon that buffs ultimates coming around. Seems like it would either be useless or far too op. Let's take the destro ult for example: There's already a million "nerf this skill" threads so something that buffs it would be overpowered, then either more people get mad or the skill gets nerfed and the new staff becomes junk. If it somehow they made it better without being op then it would still only be useful when the ultimate is up which makes it junk the rest of the time or it gives you more ultimate faster which would again make it op.

Obviously, we don't know what they're planning so I could be way wrong but it seems there would be a very thin line that weapon would have to stay on to be useful but not overpowered. I just don't think Zos is capable of such a balancing act.

Well I mean vma dagger/axe buffed flurry which was the spamable. If it does for force pulse, they just have to make sure it is not destroying class spammable like they did with flurry. I am hoping for wrecking blow buff weapon haha, I would LOVE to know what they do with that. Will it make it viable vs flurry or focus on PvP or have it add to survivability....
