Getting teleported out of imperial city since update

Hello, thanks for reading,

since the update I get teleported out of imperial city whenever I quickly relog to another character or whenever the connection gets lost. Before the update this was not the case and I could find myself back in imperial city. This is happening on the low-population server Shor (Ps4) so pop cap is not the problem...
This is quite annoying since sometimes you have to travel quite a bit to imperial city if my alliance hasn't captured any castles nearby the entrance.

Anyone else having this issue or know a workaround this new 'problem'?

    It is a new policy. No one gets into PVP without queueing after intentionally re/logging into the game.

    I think they should revert that change. Only make it so that you get ported out if the campaign is pop-locked.

    It's really *** annoying I agree. It was fine how it was before, only porting you out when you're poplocked.

    yes! would be so awesome if they changed it back.. But I also noticed its a bit less crowded in imperial city so more telvar for me haha. Might be because of this new thing?

    Could it be a workaround fix to some exploit? I can't think of another reason why ZOS would implement this change... So annoying and inconvenient.

    The population displays don't take into account logged out characters, though. Moving a character out of Cyrodiil after they log won't change the population display.

    I hope that is true as well. It's just a theory I've had since playing outside the main campaign for more than half of my time spent PVPing that the bars seemed to indicate a population higher than was truly there at times. Probably just wishful thinking, likely the pugs were all huddled together at the gate or something.

    there was an exploit where you could automatically revive after you was killed in the imperial city if you was to bring up your map and try to revive at a keep in pvp I think this was done to stop that from happening people was able to get right back up after they had been beat unlimitedly

    Possibly. Only in ZOS coding could removing characters from PvP zones upon logging out fix or bypass that bug. Lol

    They already patched that exploit in a previous patch, 100% sure they even mentioned it in the patchnotes back then so i don't think that is the reason why they made this new change

    good bug, i managed to kill a EP group yesterday on the sewers and get over 80k stones from them, to find out i was out of sigils to retreat, and the city upstrairs was flooded with zergs. Disconnected and when i returned the other day i was safe at stormheaven lol

    You can also just switch campaigns to a less populated campaign. Stone farmers on Kastav were doing this last patch, when you had the ability to queue for any campaign using the command or add-on. Kastav was exceptionally dead after the double ap event, and people were farming stones in there for hours without being interrupted.

    As a result of that you'd find people with hundreds of thousands of stones on them, or groups of 4-5 imperial physique users. Some of these groups were smart and would just command their way into a new campaign, and vanish right in front of you as you tried to bomb them.

    Dat was meee. I killed the *** out of Kastav in pursuit of the bugged perma emp title. :innocent: I held that entire map down for two weeks beginning the weekend the event came to a close. Had some epic fights against EP and AD guilds that weekend. Lolol

    My DC and EP buddies farmed some serious tv during it all, but I never had the energy to farm. :lol:

    I do wish they'd fix that bug, though, honestly. I believe that's why they've kept so many campaigns open.
