I'd like to share a small housing project! You'll notice there is a little bit more to the place than just the kitchen. It is more of a kitchen/lounge! Hope everyone enjoys it :)

Yay Tes! This kitchen is incredible and it was fun to be a judge. :)

More of Tes's kitchen can be seen at the guild's website here along with other rooms and entries.

The Dwemer fountain in the luxury shop (few weeks ago) is the only one that has that running water animation. I use it for a little natural spring in my Hundings, concealed in stone.
The achievement fountain from VVardenfell also has running water but of a different kind. But the bottom has a real water while the dwemer one is "fake" water, more like a mirror.

And I must say, since I have the privilege to be in the same guild as the OP, that her kitchen looks even more gorgeous on live. It is extremely well thought of, the details are incredible, the atmosphere is really relaxing... it is absolutely stunning work <3

That's not hard. The kitchen seems to be a piece of true artwork, but the video is horrible (like 99% of video game footage).
The whole presentation would have been far better served by nice pictures, emphasized by a written narrative.

Pic of my Vivec fountain in my EP manor, except I replaced the Orc statues with Cowering ones, looks better since they're hiding from Vivecs light

I'm sorry the video quality was terrible for you. Its best viewed in small screen as it comes in the post. It becomes a bit fuzzy in full screen. I'm no video making expert, just some basic fraps captures and premier editing. Here are some screen shots for you!

Awesome!!! Did you win the contest?

Question, how did you get the paintings to wrap around the windows and doors?

I used cursor mode to slightly angle them just right. It wasn't the easiest, quickest thing but it worked :)

I used orcish tables, block for the structure (flipped upside down to expose the dark metal on the bottom) then two rough blocks, light stone for the two oven doors and framed it with the paintings sunk into the stone just to show the gold rim. Then I used the handles from two Orcish mugs, rugged for the oven door handles and some dwarven gears for the power/temp knobs.

    Truly amazing <3

The sheer inventiveness of our housing players, and execution of such, really astounds me.

If ZO$ pulled their collective finger out and gave us the means to properly decorate our homes and gardens, and for the real artists amongst us to live their dreams, what wonders would arise?

It's a win-win situation for everyone, if only ZO$ would remove the blinkers and see it.

I agree! I think ZOS is being way too conservative with item count. Perhaps they plan to, in the future, increase it or offer item count expansion via crowns (which is more likely being that ZOS has shown they like to nickel and dime us one crown store only items. Especially when it comes to housing).

I would also like to see the ability to "set zone-in point" I'd love to have players zone it at a different point inside the house, or at least the ability to jump to or port to parts of interest (similar to EQ2, teleportation pads) which will allow people to create a narrative in their home or force the tourist in the direction of a particular attraction.

For example, in this video I was forced to make an entry way from the zone-in point (which took up precious item count) when I would have rather set the zone-in point to the top of the stairs. But it is what it is! We make due and make the best of what we have!
