Server crash and rollback

Last night finished for the first time, my self, Falkreath Hold dungeon with a couple of friends, just before the servers crashed or something. I actually had in my inventory my new Domihaus Helm and achievements of completion...
Today, I log into my account and find out all my new gear is gone, achievements gone and my Domihaus helm is GONE. More over im death in middle of no where.

I do understand things can go wrong, no one is perfect, but I did finish the dungeon before the random crash. Why then I have to loose everything I earnt during 2 hours of effort in a new dungeon for something not my fault?

I expect ZOS to return the achievement completion (if you can remove them you can grant them too), and the gear is missing.

There might be plenty of you that dont even notice this happened, so go check.

If you lost stuff due to a bug then put in a ticket. If you lost stuff due to a server rollback then that's tough but it's what a server rollback is about.

I'd suggest putting in a ticket but, as the previous poster stated it's unlikely to have everything replaced. Just to many people are affected with a rollback which is also why it's rare companies use them.

Looked like it was less than a 30-minute rollback when I logged in this morning. I had been doing a delve and I was back at the beginning of it again.

I was in VMA when the trouble started or it may have started just after I logged out within 10 minutes of finishing VMA.

Decisive Maelstrom Bow.

Lost that and the quest for VMA has returned to my log showing I need to clear the last arena again.

I'm not upset about it at all, I'll just go finish the last arena again and maybe pull something better, but there was definitely a rollback last night.

My screenshot of the bow is at 8:10PM Mountain Standard Time, so 11:10 ZOS time.

Lucky you VMA saves progress. In the other side, I just lost everything.

Hmm. I paid a substantial amount of gold to a trade GM for an auction prize, then logged off because of terrrible ping in Cyrodiil. Saw on the forums 10 min later that the game crashed. I wonder if the gold transfer was rolled back.

I woud do a support ticket, they can return your gear and achievement.

I could have been ok with a 30 min to 1 hour Roll back, but 6HOURS.... not acceptable.

Woke up this morning...no score...no staff....and rolled me back to argonian round.....pisses me off because I get very limited time to complete vma due to you know having kids n all, so love waking up to see I wasted an hour of my time lastnight...thanks Zos...glad your solution is to do roll backs and *** everyone...

I find it really weird how some got rolled back so far. I think I only got rolled back about half an hour tops. My Blood, Sweat and Fire achievement got rolled back to its original state before my group hit Earthgore and the crown store repair kit I'd used between hard mode attempts is gone. Soon after I'd used that we opted to complete the boss in his normal form to finish out other achievements. As soon as we killed Earthgore and tried to port out we got the endless load screen.

Don't bother OP. ZOS is not interested in operating in a way that exceeds the Terms of Services that they wrote. Your pleas are falling on deaf ears.

The only "good will" from the company comes from the low-level support team. If your request requires a dev or high-level tech to get involved...forget about it.

This is completely not funny to those that spent a lot of time trying to get items which they ended up losing due to no fault of their own.

Devilhand, as others have said, it won't do you any good asking for your item, etc. back they will not help you.

"Customer Service is unable to restore items that were destroyed, deconstructed, or altered. We are unable to return items lost due to the game freezing or crashing. We are also not able to "unbind" items that have been bound to your character nor can we provide replacement items."

"We cannot return items that were lost due to rollbacks."

I lost about 2 hours worth of gathering. I logged on, fed my horse, proceeded to go out and gather. Server crashed. I log on this morning to check, I have no raw materials and my character is back in town with an unfed horse. I suspect I also somehow lost my enlightenment as it ticked on within the rollback time I believe.

Other games I have played managed to restore their transactions from situations like this and return lost items. Every time I consider should I keep playing this game or look for something else, it is how you handle these situations that help make up my mind.

Even if it is not within your infrastructure to restore uncommitted transactions, you could offer an XP weekend or something.

We still don't have any actual explanation as to what exploit was so awful that they not only had an insane amount of downtime but also rolled people back, do we?

The outage for the exploit and last night's unplanned crash and rollback are different things.
