Universally adjusted the values of some 1, 2, 3, and 4-piece bonus stats for all Item Sets:

Max Health, Magicka, or Stamina has been increased by 13.3%
Weapon Critical or Spell Critical rating has been increased by 55%
Physical or Spell Resistance has been increased by 13.8%
Physical or Spell Penetration has been decreased by 22%

Mother’s Sorrow: Increased the Spell Critical Strike rating granted by this Item Set to 2470 from 1643.

Yeah people invested all there gold mostly in Sorrow + Precise right before patch day glad I didn't I knew they would nerf both again

(Man... Sure am glad I didn't invest any gold in buying it since I already had the set lying around and sure am hoping that what hadn't sold when i went to bed had sold by the time the servers went down :P)

I spent a while grinding for that stupid set too... Wonder what will take its place instead. Anyone also notice shadow got nerfed too? Seems like they wanna make it even harder on us to make new builds.

Well glad I didn't gold out the new gear. I figured it would get nerfed eventually though. I spent all of yesterday grinding for the Mother's Sorrow stuff but ah well.

Thanks for posting a side-by-side comparison. Personally I'm glad.

What this patch seems to have done is balance a lot of the DPS sets in the game, so no one set best in slot for all classes or all content. Mothers sorrow, and high crit generally, were the things that the streamers were suggesting would be the next big thing.

Yesterday Gilliam the Rogue (my absolutely favourite youtuber) said it best in his summary of HotR changes; "mothers sorrow is best for all magicka dps builds" - at 8.09

I found a green infused mother sorrow inferno staff for 1k, made it purple and sold for 180k... almost feel sorry for the guy. Nah not really.. it is what you get from copying youtubers before the patch goes live

Crit is divisible by 219

546 / 219 = 2.5%

To be honest, I think this needed to happen. Critical strike was over performing. Even as a healer, I found that stacking critical rating from sets and mundus was netting me better healing numbers than any of the other stats.

Thats why I never buy stuff before a patch hits live.
But for real, mothers sorrow was overperforming and probably still will be very strong.

With infused weapons and 1 infused shoulder I'm still have 69.2% crit with shadow and inner light slotted which is still pretty damn good and although not tried it yet seems fair. PTS stats were crazily high.

People want to get prepped before the patch releases..... WHY are there such drastic changes made on the Live server but left unchanged during multiple PTS patches? Doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, it's a "nerf" because it was changed from one patch note to another. But I believe it's still a buff when it comes to live values pre HOTR - unless someone tells me otherwise.

Yes, this raises an relevant issue about sets who are an faction behind the very best.
You will always get them and they are so short behind it would hardly be noticeable on an dps test

For crafted sets its pointless to craft the second best.
However for overland sets they will be much cheaper. Dungeon sets even more important, they might drop from easier dungeons or more players will give it away as they have better.

you can do the math all you like. but then you let it loose on players and watch them come up with crazy and bizarre ways to abuse those numbers in totally unexpected ways. sometimes it takes more than one try.

Happy with the changes. I do feel for the peeps than ran out chasing the new Meta, if it aint live it aint live, you take ur chances....

ZOS want no clear BIS so good on em in a way, streamers etc were noisy about new meta so there you go, they reacted.

as long as the gap in the top sets is within a few % its mega healthy for the game IMO

I was happy to see this in today's notes. Just from the patch notes on PTS it was obvious that sorrow/leviathan would be OP af with the original values. Look at it this way: at least they didn't let it go live and then have to nerf it in the next release after everyone was using it.

I also kind of guessed that they would do this too, so I only spent first 2 days of Sorrow "bis" patch and farmed mats instead after.
