What is the best way to level up Assault/Support level?

As the title says, I'm level 3 with my healer. Wondering what is the best/fastest way to level up the Assault/Support skill line as I'm wanting to get to level 4 ASAP to get Warhorn & Purge.

Is it just a case of joining big groups, defending/pushing keeps? Or is it better to buy siege weapons & repair kits and get involved with that also? I currently don't buy anything as I'm not sure if it costs gold or costs AP?

As I make up from your post I think that you aren't a competitive PvP player (yet). There are ways to gain AP without confronting strong enemy players. You can repair walls/doors, you can defend keeps for defensive ticks. Recently they added offensive ticks to, taking a ressource earns you 1.5k ap, outposts 3k and a keep 6k so make sure you are there while they flip to your faction!

If you want to engage in combat I suggest finding a group to play with untill you feel you are strong enough to get more freedom on the map.

Join a big group, run around taking keeps and resources, profit.

Also buy repair kits (they cost AP) and repair walls. It's not like AP has any real value, so might as well put the AP you've earned to work making you more!

Join a group, take some keeps. If you're a good pve soloist, you can also solo the resources around keeps for good AP.

The fastest way would be killing other players by yourself. If that's not possible, you can still earn around 20-30k AP/hr relatively easily using siege weapons on players, healing people who are killing other players, fixing walls/doors and making sure you run around the map to as many keeps and resources your faction is attacking as possible, so you are nearby when your faction captures them. You don't need to be in a group.

You might want to install My XP View add on, which tracks how much AP you earn per hour. Also if you kill any Cyrodiil delve boss you get 20% AP bonus for an hour.

I'm level 50, I'm talking about ranking up skill line assault and support. I've done it now so it's all good. Big groups. Taking and defending jeeps was the way to do it. Thanks all who helped!

Defend keeps with oils, spam heals on everyone, and piggyback larger groups for keep captures. Probably the easiest and most efficient way for inexperienced players to earn AP.
