Well there is no need for me to be anonymous; I spent 0 on it...

Why would anyone spend a single point into this is beyond me; its completely and utterly worthless...

No one crafts pots with a negative effect on it...nobody.

Now if the Devs would take our suggestion of reworking Snakesblood as a defense to Resource Poisons (with each point, to a max of 3, equating to 10% resist to Resource Poisons), then I'd put points into it in a heartbeat...

Hell, I'd put 12 points into it if it allowed me to resist Resource Poisons...

Snakeblood is the most pointless passive in the game, I would be surprised if anyone used it.

Nice poll :) I wouldn't craft potions for use which have negative effects, so this passive is indeed pointless for me. The only situation in which I craft such potions are for writs, but these I would never use.

Maybe they can change it to give you some kind of poison resistance in PvP.

How it is now, really doesn't do anything.

They don't want to change it to resistance, because they don't want a crafting skill to give direct combat benefit (and that would be a massive benefit). They don't want everybody to be required to level their alchemy skill for a necessary passive. I do agree that it is useless as is, but I think that they should change it to something more related to the craft. I'd say either a new hireling or (for some combat benefit, but not too much) makes self made potions 5% stronger for you.

There's some sets like bloodspawn for generating ultimate which could in theory make this useful.

Alchemy is the one crafting skill line that already DOES offer a direct combat benefit, though (the potion duration passive).

    100% agree...

I leveled alchemy to 50 just to get the pot duration increase passive...

As has already been correctly pointed out, Alchemy already provides direct combat benefit...

Thus, them not making Snakesblood effective vs Resource Poisons for the reason you stated fails...

When maxed, it allows you to use a couple of potions that provide benefits like Major Ward/Resolve. Unfortunately, I believe it it has been bugged since beta so that it only works with some characters and not others for some reason.

I maxed it out. Can't recall how many points. I think 3.

I had read somewhere that it was potent and great. I have not tested it or looked into it at all. Plan to do that before my next respect.

I am surprised to see no one is singing praises about it. I was under a very different impression that there were some epic-mega super potions out there that you needed snakeblood for.

Back when it reduced the potency (and not the duration) of negative effects on potions you used (by 25, 50, 75 and 100% if I recall correctly), it actually had some uses as you could use ravage health potions to get some benefits in some situations and not kill yourself in the process.
They changed it a few patches ago making this passive completely useless which ended up saving me a bunch of skill points as I have 0 points in it.
I would love to see it changed back though. It was a clever way to have some sets proc and other stuff :P

Utterly useless passive. Should be changed to something that provides poison effects resistance (not only the health draining one).
