An interesting idea floated around in our group discussion last night. So here's the thought.
You can combine ONE class skill line with ONE other class skill line to form a hybrid class. You would have two class skill lines as opposed to three.
Your purebred, original classes would still have a third skill line, so this would only affect those that would decide to create a hybrid.
Can you imagine the combinations? Players would be totally unpredictable and would add a whole new dimension for PVP. What two class skill lines would you combine? What problems would this create?
Personally, I'd go with...Siphoning (NB) and Daedric Summoning (Sorc). Curses, Shields, Swallow Soul, Soul Tether, Cloak, Fear, and shade. Lmao. Just for fun guys.

✭✭Shadow and Dark Magic would be a nice mix. HorrorShow✭✭✭✭Why not just make all skill lines open to everyone? No classes. Would be similar to another game series I played that just lets you use whatever skill lines you want.
Can't for the life of me remember the name of that game. The Old Papers? The Aged Books?

Spacemonkey✭✭✭✭✭id make it so that the first skill of each line is unlocked for all.
Using a class skill line grants you exp to unlocking more of that skill line but also substracts (in a ratio of 1/total class skill lines) exp from all other skill lines.
That way you could never just play 4ever and unlock all at the same time. But the system would allow for you to specialize into a few completely up to your choice skill lines, or constantly respec and work towards remastering - re unlocking etc...
To me thats way more fun than just linear unlocking, makes respeccing and roles a more serious commitment.
anyway, just brainstorming here.
