Thanks for this poll! It made me look for a mod that turns on auto-loot for nodes while leaving it off for other containers which aren't shared. Quite nifty, that.

I don't see why you wouldn't. It prevents accidental ult casts, and it let's you breeze through content. One press of the interact key after slaughtering a room full of trash mobs and you're ready to move on.

Everything is sellable, so even from a gold-making standpoint, it doesn't make sense to leave anything behind.

Yes. I've got this addon so looting 0 gold items isnt an issue.
And I agree that people who leave worms and unlocked chests should be turned into pure-blood vamps. :P

The people who leave Ta, Worms, and lvl 12 Prosperous bows in Craglorn chests are the ones not using it.

Those people are a pox on the game, and probably on their real life community as well.

No, those people just don't have craft bag and don't want to fill their Inventory with trash.

There are literally 3 types of bugs (meaning only 3 inventory slots are wasted), and they sell for a fortune since they stack up quickly. I've made tens of thousands of gold from worms and crawlers.

There is absolutely no reason to leave them behind.

Half-looted nodes take much longer to respawn (I'm not sure if they actually respawn - I often stumble upon 4-5 unlocked chests in a row while farming motifs), and leaving trash behind is just rude to other players.
Imo it shouldnt be possible to leave trash in non-instanced nodes. Too many people are being selfish scumbags.

I run around with 3 free inventory spots, over 8 characters. Maxed inventory and maxed bank space.

I ALWAYS leave baits over nodes, useless weapons and armors over corpses and chests, and every rune but Kuta.

It's totally legit since my eso life is already an hell cause of all the time inventory management requires.
Think what it would be if I stopped to carry every Ta I run into.

And this night, playing ESO, I will leave behind me tons of trash items and think about you 2.

Your inventories are full because you hoard useless items. If you took a moment to manage your inventory, you wouldn't need to screw over other players.

I really don't understand why some of you are assuming that EVERYBODY who don't use autoloot are selfish asholes scumabgs idiots. I don't use autoloot and I don't leave trash in the chests and worms in flowers. I don't have craft bag so I can't just loot every *** from killed mobs. When I see white item without ornate trait, I just leave this useless trash. If clicking R to loot all is waste of time, then what is point of selling useless for me rune for 3g? If you want to be always forced to loot things you don't need, then it's your business but understand that some people like to control what they loot from mobs. I know that some people leave trash in chests but it doesn't mean that I'm one of them because I don't use autoloot. Try to live without craft bag one week and maybe you understand why some players don't use this addon.

Never done that. Not once. The only time I leave anything in a chest is if someone else is standing there and I'm feeling generous.

I actually enjoy looting manually. Weird maybe, but not an evil worm-leaver.

On a serious note, no, I don't use auto loot.

When I'm looting or searching for something, it's usually one of two things. It's either valuable stuff or a specific item. When I want to farm ancestor silk, I want raw ancestor silk; if I can I'll also want to get nirncrux or bast. I don't want worms, so I guess I fall into the consistently dehumanised worm leaver category (cause ya know, it's not like there are actual issues with the game that are legitimately worth worrying about).

I don't leave items because I'm intentionally being an ***hole, I leave them because I have no need for them so they aren't worth me taking. I don't always have ESO+ (like many people I have other things that require my wallet's attention outside of gaming) but even then I still wouldn't take things I don't intend to use just got the fun of it since another player may make better use of the item. Could be a worm, useful for those after fishing achievements, or it could be an item with a trait I've already researched that would be more beneficial to a crafter.

It also doesn't happen to be because of backpack space. I always have plenty of room available for when I go farming resources. Again, I go for specific items or items with value. I'm not going to just pick up a bow with nothing special going for it even if it is worth a small amount of gold. Why would I hold onto a bow unnecessarily when that spot it occupies could be used for something more valuable or something with a trait I can use?

Before someone pokes a hole and tries to make it sound like I'm contradicting myself, just because I can do something, it doesn't mean I have to do it. I can carry as many bows and worms as I want, but I'm not going to just because I have the space because it's fundamentally pointless to do so. Just because I win the lottery, it doesn't mean I have to buy a fleet of yachts to show how rich I've become.

At the end of the day, it's down to choice and preference. If you want it on, you can have it on. Doesn't worry me in the slightest. If you want it off, you can leave it off. Again, doesn't worry me in the slightest.

If you think I'm an ***hole because I leave it off for the reason stated above, I don't care. It's your opinion. It's not going to change my opinion. It's not going to impact me. I won't lose sleep over it. I just get on like I did before.

It's an inconvenience for many, sure. I find it inconvenient when it also happens to me when another player does it. However, that's all it really is, a minor inconvenience. It's not game breaking, it's just slightly annoying. It's a non-issue to be quiet honest. It's not a debate that deserves getting overheated and arguing about.

Just my two pennies on it.

If you are on PC I would recommend Dustman, cleans your inventory for you whenever you pick up zero value items or sells everything marked as junk when you get to a vendor, and you can set what items will be automatically labeled junk.

Sure no , bag upgrade fee is too expensive , all my toons keep about 90-100.
I have about 50-60 available spaces in fact , so I have to choose the items worth to loot everytime.

I understand that this is the business model of ESO , I won't blame much , I just don't like it.

I don't use auto loot because I want to control everything I loot in the game. Now that I know it bothers people when someone leaves a worm or something in a bag/box/whatever, I'm going to do my best to always leave something behind. Why? Because I paid for this game, I can play it how I like, and I don't care if it bugs you.

I'm the same guy who makes full stops at stop signs and stays stopped for a few seconds just to annoy the person behind me because they don't like making full stops and are in a rush to get through. Deal with it <3

No way. I sub and have the craft bag but I still don't want white and green trash, lockpicks and useless other crap filling up my inventory that I can sell and get what, a few hundred gold per and I have to either buy a merchant or keep going back to a merchant? No thanks. I'd rather be able to run all three pledges in one go or farm chest and delves for good pieces I can actually sell for thousands.
