Pvp is the real end game, maybe you can flawless maelstrom with white armour, or maybe you beat Vmol HM deathless every time. Very good accomplishments but one things for sure, you need much greater awareness and reactions to survive in Pvp than in PVE.
PVE is all mechanics/knowledge, Pvp is both and also awareness + reactions.

And even when you get to the top 1% of Pvp... you'll still be killed.

I do both, but I do all content only once. 95% of my playtime is PvP. The other 5% is trying to get the gear. When a new zone comes out I do the quests and enjoy the story. After that it's back to the awesomeness of Cyrodill.

I'm a PVE player (and probably will always mostly PVE) but I thought it was really good to be encouraged into Cyrodiil. I'm still horrendously bad at PVP but I've found I actually quite enjoy it. I'm sure I can't be the only one

I'm primarily a PvE player but sometimes it's fun to go be terrible at PvP for a while. It gets my characters useful skills, and there's really no penalty for being terrible since you don't lose anything when you die, so as long as I don't take it too seriously it can be a good time.

I like to do everything in a mmo that way I don't get bored or burnt out. I find the people that hate this game or don't enjoy playing it as much are the people that limit themselves to just one part of it.

    100% agree.

Oh yes, because Undaunted Passives and Guild Skill Lines (all of which are, flatly, required in competitive PvP builds) are so very easy to get in Cyrodiil. Note that most of these are going to take several hours of PvE to get.

Meanwhile the only skills you need from Alliance War lines (Vigor, Caltrops, Warhorn) can be earned in a handful of keep captures.

    Get off your high horse.

    ---

The best PvE players I know pretty much all do PvP, and many of them are exceptionally good at PvP and PvE both. (Three of them farm vMA and run through vet DLC dungeons in thirty-fourty minutes.) While the players I see who only do PvE on my friends list are mediocre to outright bad. Yes, this is anecdotal, but PvP most certainly encourages a closer look at how you play and pushes people to excel far more than 'Only PvE' ever does, in my experience.

I feel the same but opposite. Meaning I sometimes so dungeons for fun even though I suck.
Not that I dont suck at PvP, but not as much as at PvE.

This ongoing discussion between the parties above is a perfect example of why I made this poll.
