Pvp is this game is clumsy and badly imbalanced, if I want pvp I play a game designed for it not this laggy sideshow.

Such as? I sure as hell hope you don't say GW2...

I prefer the big battles of Cyrodiil despite lags and crashing, I did my first Battlegrounds today (for the achievement) and although i can't say that I thoroughly enjoyed it I can say that it was fun... but i definatly need more practice and map familiarity to be at a stage where I feel comfortable doing it with strangers and I know from previous pvp I have played once i get relaxed I can concentrate better and contribute a whole lot more, Thankfully the other three guys on my team were very competent and knew what they were doing so it only took the one go to get the achievement.

After almost 2 weeks of the PVP event. I know there have been a lot of people new to PVP giving it a go. I'd like to know your views on PVP and whether the event has, perhaps, changed your views.
Please only respond if you've spent enough time to complete (or almost) complete the event. I'd rather the poss wasn't skewed by views from people who havn't dipped in enough toes to really get a feel for it.
And please don't respond if you're already a full or part-time PVPer.

2 weeks? Did you get to start before the rest of us? It's only been a week so far.

Not really sure to be honest... I forgot when it started - I know it got patched on Monday for the BG achievement bug and had definitely been running for a number of days before then so just assumed it was the prior Monday. Defo more than 1 week tho.

Was ok. Still like PVE more. May try it again, but not much
It was a mixed bag. In the large campaign, I was in several great groups, leaders knew what they were doing, actually used strategy rather than just a locust mob. But too often group leaders had no idea what to do.
I also agree somewhat with Golnebo, "The community can be as great as the one in PVE-land, and sometimes just as toxic." Except I would argue perhaps a bit more toxic. Never experienced before In any game the level of hostility of the "get out of our PvP zone", "Go farm some Writs loser", 'You are ruining our game" crowd to the extent that some ESO PvPers were expressing openly to people who were asking simple questions in chat.

I've always done a bit of PvP but this is the most concentrated across multiple characters I've done. Now that I'm a year and a half ahead in CP, I can afford to PvP more and will.

Met up with a group they tooke under their wing and gave me some basics to learn. Totally awsome people, never complained about me once, had a great time and got invited to their pvp guild.

Hate to say it but Cyrodill was actually fun when running in a group of coordinated people that were all having fun.

That being said I will not go back into BG, that was nothing but pets, HA and procs. That was seriously frustrating especially since I could group with friends for it.

It's not bad but I still prefer PvE more. I'll PvP for skill points and Akaviri motifs though. Got the bow and helmet from event so I may as well try and get at least body, leg, shoe, gauntlet and belt.

Love it. I now know every aspect of it, only I'm still crap at 1-on-1 with enemy players. I was trying to play a mag DK, and was definitely feeling the limitations a mag DK has regarding ranged weapons and executes. LOL. I think I'll switch to a different character today.

The poll is deeply flawed as long as there is not 2 options for each, one with "I pugged" and one with "I did not pug."

Our guild makes converts on a regular basis, but we don't let them pug until they have run with us a few times. Pugging in PvP causes deep emotional scars if you haven't experienced it first from the non-pug side..

The only thing that bothered me was when in BGs, when a PvEer snaps and gets on mic to B@#$_ about proc NBs.

    Yes, we know...

LOL. Yeah, gotta love those players who act like they were never once a noob at PvP. :D I haven't seen that level of hostility yet, but I've heard some horror stories.

Loved it. Didn't expect to like it but did. Will Definitely PVP more but had issues with the community
Enjoyed it, Tank/Support/Rez Duty role felt rewarding. More so than DPS (though getting kills was cool too). I will probably review and choose a home campaign to continue playing in. Battlegrounds was more MEH though. A little more glitchy than I expected but also much less forgiving in error than Cyrodiil. Until I get better I'll probably not do them.

Definitely been enjoying PvP during the event. Actually learned how to effectively use the different types of siege equipment. I'm still a pve player at heart, but will definitely spend more time in cyrodiil/ic/bgs.

TBH ive always pvp'ed in other mmos Ultima Online, WoW, but for some reason I went PvE in ESO.

The event was a nice addition to sway me back into PvP, but I did get salty when dieing but I keep that on my end and dont spew it into game. Sorry to my gf for the rants and raves. I guess with practice will get into the swing o' things.
