✭✭✭✭✭Can we get more information on Akamai technologies? Where are these nodes located? It appears that hopping to dallas is no longer ideal...
I think ZoS might be trying to relocate the jump in point for their servers to get around these bad ATT nodes. Can anyone else confirm? I seem to be getting the best ping by using the VPN to jump in from Norcal instead of from Texas... bizarre.

grax40Soul Shrivenat least you all are getting to log into your character screens. I have been trying to play since the update on Monday. Have done all of the things posted plus everything in support. Waved my mouse around for 6 hours before I gave up on my character screen to load. Now the only thing left for me to try is to totally uninstall and reinstall game. Probably won't fix it but maybe reinstalling patch may help.0 -

But if they showed you the issue, believe me, it would take you very long time to fix it too, it would be too much for you, you would quit your job most likely.

I think they contracted with Akamai for DDoS mitigation and that got turned on this week. I think that we have been seeing the results of that, and they have probably been trying to tune and adapt to get it working right.
I expect that they will get things working, and once they do, it should remedy DDoS attacks that might happen in the future. Until then, I would say we can expect a few rough days while Akamai and ZOS figure out how to get it working reliably.
Right now, I am in the game. Let's hope it stays that way.

Maybe a sticky thread that gets updated that people could reference would be good be a good idea at this point. Well there are only so many ways players can say your lack of being able to fix the poor server performance can only come under the title of INCOMPETENCE. Your server issues have plagued this game for years but you are still looking into it. So pathetic.1 -

really? this is the standard and justification we re holding ourselves to? individual achievement against multinational IT and entertainment - that has corporate responsibility to its paying cusomters and clients?
I'm sure this is amazing every time you turn on the computer- and you are amazed as you behold the wonders of technology- so much so that you have nothing bad to say- because perhaps you re grreatful we can fly and communicate across continents in this day and age. but lets snap back to reality- this is a multi million dollar company under a 2.5 billion dollar one.
we're comparing zos to other companies in its tier and category and industry and others in parallel ones. . you look at playstation, blizzard, netflix, Facebook, easports , LOL, etc, etc. we just want it to work- consistently and stably. this isn't a game in beta. this is year 4 now. as i ve said many times- i spend my entertainment dollar on this more than netflix, going to the movies, and several other games- and this is by far the worst performing thing i spend any money on .
if people held themselves to your thinking we d be amazed at the car that moves- despite it going up in flames- instead of demanding it match others that have been made. yes the complaining gets old- but this logic is stupid- we need to hold this company accountable- and if that means daily posts- well thats our only means of voicing our frustration- and our only means of "striking". we all obv. love this game- play it way too much and pay way to much to play it. but sadly this is all we have left in order to strike a fire in their belly, or provoke some kind of reaction to get better service, better cusomter service and better tech service. i would much rather be playing- but i can't like thhe rest of us.2 -

I appreciate ESO, I really like PvP campaigns (I do not see anything similar in another game). But here I speak as a player that pays monthly and even if it did not pay, I believe that ZOS would pay the same attention to me. As @ZOS_GinaBruno said, they're working on it. I find normal discontent, I think it's natural to have complaints, frustrations about a service that is not working.
