Clarification on changes to Prosperous trait?

I was wondering if someone could clarify the prosperous changes? The patch notes say that it ads 11 to stam, magicka, health recovery at gold level? Just 11 points? or 11% Because if it only ads 11 points...that is quite possibly worse than it was before.

Agree, I can't understand what they want to achieve by this... 11 recovery points means that you get 5.5 resource points back every second (?) which is absolute garbage lol...

Let's compare it with divines and the Attro Mundus:
    238*7.5% = 17.85

Therefore prosperous is now like the prismatic enchants compared to regular star enchants. It gives more overall stats, but less specialized.

"The Prosperous Armor Trait has been re-designed to give it a combat function. It now grants 11 Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery as a gold-quality item, instead of gold gain."

This is what the actual patch notes say, but I have a hard time believing that they would make this trait such garbage. I mean...the gold gain was far better. Even at 8 pieces(assuming a tank with a shield) of prosperous you get a whopping 88 regen boost to your resources. Why would I chose that over versatility Divines would give me? Or the block cost reduction of Sturdy? Or the armor boost of nirnhoned/reinforced? In the end, this leaves prosperous right where it was...the 2nd worst trait behind training(even training has more use below level cap)

So while it is probably still second worse, the problem was when you got a posperous monster helm or shoulder it was just completely useless. Now I'll be fine running the random posperous Shoulder until I collect the one I want.

You're kidding me right? Now it actually does something, it just surpassed all of the other useless traits like training, well fitted, and imp. And its something that gives benefit to any class, making it often superior to things like reinforced or sturdy for dps chars. Its not a massive benefit, but its significantly more than it was. Items dropping in prosperous are no longer something to immediately throw out.

I was fine running a random prosperous before as a placeholder...which I would then upgrade to the next worthless trait to show up..say well fitted(worthless as a single piece...not as part of a set). I feel really slighted by this particular change though considering the gold gain was actually better, and I did from time to time rock a set of purple prosperous when farming gold.

But the gold "gain" was not better, it was insignificant (mobs drop very little gold) and provided no combat benefit. And you could save more gold than you made by using imp instead. Honesty prosperous will probably make you more gold now, because you can actually sell items with the trait XD

I do think they should increase the recovery amount by a little to make it better for recovery than divines, but it is far better than before in every way.

You could have 12 pieces which is 132 which is 66 per sec, each stat. It doesn't seem that awesome considering on live recovery is almost the same single stat.

For the drop in DPS, it needs to be triple at least.

You cant get 12 pieces...there are no prosperous weapons or jewelry, armor trait only

Mobs drop plenty of gold when you are actually farming the right mobs. When farming gold your ideal mob is humanoids without ranged attacks while you are wearing heavy armor(IE zombies) so you can AoE them all down before they get to you and even if they do, your armor takes little damage.

That's not how armor degradation works. Your armor gets damaged when you gain experience or die, not when you're hit.

Correct. In pve imp is tied with training for being the most useless trait, unless you're still leveling then training beats it. (excluding traits that don't drop on actual armor sets).

Then you should recognize its utility in general, not in what benefits to you.

I don't like reinforced, fr example, because in PvP it's hardly useful, but it doesn't mean it is useless for the sole fact that there's people who likes to fight AI

Then prosperous is better than reinforced for you, which I acknowledged previously that certain traits are useful for some, but not for others. For someone who doesn't Pvp, imp has no "utility". For someone who doesn't tank, reinforced is less useful. Imp is the only craftable/set drop trait that has no use at all in part of the game.

I disagree, I find reinforced/nirnhoned to be VERY useful in PvP just because the the PvP meta. In PvP I have found people build for higher base damage and less critical damage than PvE because of the prevalence of impen in PvP, because of that, I have found nirnhoned/reinforced armor to mitigate more damage than Impen against a lot(not all) of the builds in PvP

I kinda like the idea the dev have with the new prosperous, altho its too weak in the current state. Also it needs a name change.

I agree with the general idea behind this. If it were stronger(say 200 regen at 7-8 piece) then I would roll a nightblade tank/healer Altmer Vampire hybrid using Willows Path and Amberplasm(and 1 Chokethorn 1 Shadowrend) and it would be great, but right now I would still be better off running divines and atro mundus(think thats the magicka regen one) on a build like that. I also agree with it needing a name change.
