Mister,
this Company has been banning two acocunts and not following the way the gold went and enabled those people to go on selling their gold for quite a while, since it was so low priced it got sold like ***. After this Company told us, they are ivnestigating and doing something, same people were able to set their guild to the most active trading hub on EU server.
Srsly, are you kidding me?
What I'm noticing is your Quoting 1 line of someones post & ignoring everything else that is being said, where as for example if you read @DMuehlhausen post they answer the question quite simply. Dont think your gonna get anywhere by trying to rile the ZOS community up or bother ZOS. Because they still wont respond to you any faster.
i dont expect zos to respond fast, i dont even expect zos to do anything really deep into this problem, as they always do. your faith in that something would happen is just quite amusing.

Why.. because there are multitude of people willing to buy those illegal drugs. Same with mat/gold farming in this game. When there are lazy arse people willing to buy mats or gold from outside sources, rather than putting in their own work to farm it themselves for their own uses, then there will always be those (bots, whatever) farming the hell out of ESO to have mats/gold on sales on those conspicuous outside venues. What is that phrase.. supply and demand? Hmmm

well if you dont have faith in ZOS as a company & thier Game, then I would recommend you dont play at all, because in the end you just contradicting yourself lol. I clearly still have faith in ZOS & Their game, That things are being done internally to deal with this as @ZOS_GinaBruno has stated and thats why i still play, so i dont know how that would be amusing to you, but hey if i can make you crack up then thats great, Good to know

No, there was another thread, started by this user. It included many screenshots, and a Dropbox folder with detailed evidence.

Any chance you have link to it , so we can read it and post in it, unless they closed it? , Thanks @LadyNalcarya
That doesn't explain the bot trains of 3 or 4 'toons all running in exactly the same path 2 steps apart from the one ahead.

It has been deleted in 10 minutes or so after it was posted. Someone reposted it on Reddit, but all pictures and links were quickly removed.

I will not list the game, but it was a part of my past for which I am ashamed. I was younger, didn't know any better, etc.
- Today it is rare and unprofitable for a Gold Selling Company to employ farmers/bot accounts. Most of the bots you see are individual players like me and you who become "suppliers" for gold selling companies (almost like independent contractors) except no contract.
- Gold Sellers have a list of suppliers. When you purchase gold, the company then contacts all it's suppliers and asks them to supply the gold directly to you. Figures are examples, but lets say you pay $10.00 for 200k gold. The gold company takes your money, pays $5.00 to the supplier for the 200k gold and has him/her mail it to you directly. They're basically a middleman service.
It's quite the scheme actually, all the risk is on the supplier/buyer. The gold selling company no longer has to worry about purchasing new accounts and getting banned because they can continue to operate with new suppliers.
The way you guys can combat the gold selling system is to stop buying gold.

Another thing I noticed that was interesting when I was going out and screenshotting the bot trains, was occasionally it seemed like someone would notice my presence there following them, and suddenly 3 or 4 of them would instantly vanish at precisely the same time.

Sure it does. You can buy "throw away" accounts for about 10-15 bucks each off the various websites (I won't name here) that offer account services. Thousands of players have purchased the base game, tried it for a few weeks, and decided it wasn't for them. They sell those accounts very cheap on these websites. Gold suppliers will pay say 60 bucks for 4 throw away accounts and they will either run bot trains or multi-box (if that's even possible in ESO). Usually that means the lead toon is being played by an actual player and the ones behind it are on "auto follow."

While there might be some people who are doing "auto-follow", what I see are actual bots that are running pretty much autonomously. I highly doubt that there is a player there at all. If there is, they are only there for the purpose of answering any challenges from ZOS GMs.
If you spend enough time watching them, you can see that many of these trains are running independently and are not following the lead of any other character. They are bots, not active players.

I was here at launch and the first year too. Anyone who was actually here at that time knows that the bot problem is nowhere near what it used to be, so ZOS is obviously doing something.so ... coming back just this past week as a player who hasn't played the game since the first year of release... and it looks like we're having the same problems we did three years ago.
Bots are still a thing and ZOS still isn't doing anything, and all it takes is a "we're working on it" from the booth babe and every thirsty individual here rolls over. That's delightful.

Personally, I haven't seen any bots in chat or farming since I returned to the game in April, and I play every day in several zones. But I don't doubt there are some out in the wild because there will always be desperate and/or lazy players who buy from them. (PC NA)
