I hope the devs deal with these ESO dupers/cheaters soon

It is similar to illegal drugs in real life. We all know it's illegal and bad for you. Yet, there are billionaires drugpins, cartel, whatever and multitude of users and dealers. Why.. because there are multitude of people willing to buy those illegal drugs. Same with mat/gold farming in this game. When there are lazy arse people willing to buy mats or gold from outside sources, rather than putting in their own work to farm it themselves for their own uses, then there will always be those (bots, whatever) farming the hell out of ESO to have mats/gold on sales on those conspicuous outside venues. What is that phrase.. supply and demand? Hmmm

Totally agree with you @GreenhaloX , plus it's worse if we asked ZOS whats happening and they didnt Respond, At least their coming out and saying something is being done, instead of not saying anything at all , which would probably send the same people criticizing them for not releasing more info, Over the edge lol.

@ZOS_GinaBruno I'm officiacly telling you - I'm wait for log access from this "game". If you can't find these ppl, give me logs and 4-5 hours and I will find it for you. It's really hard to find ppl even when you got many screenshots with evidence, I understand it.

But I think ZOS just care about new customers. Old players can't buy all these DLC, crown costumes and ets. That's why our opinion isn't important. Good, very good

I dont care what Miss Gina Bruno stated. Miss Jessica Folsom has been told to state over a week ago that ZOS is highly into fixing this stuff, after also I sent them pictures of the sales of those accounts, after we also made them aware of which guilds they occured and sutff like that. She then told me, they would investigate those thing. Some days later i recognize my guild outbid by the goldselling guild of that scum. Then Miss Gina Bruno says, yeah they are totally into it and checking it. Okay, 1 day later the guild vanishes from Belkarth spot, and nobody knows how - wether ZOS did it, or wether the accounts disbanded that guild. No response here about what they did or not. Now some minutes ago i get a screenshot from russian goldseller page, showing, thats same people still are selling millions.

I also remember months ago, when i delivered a whole farming group (chinafarmers) in Auridon with video, telling her hoew they work, account names, screenshots of sales in guilds and all that stuff, Gina saying oh yeah they are totally into that. 4 month later i still see those accounts active.

I also remember a friend delivering a full bot guild, explaining ZOS how they work and all that stuff - still guilds active, also some of that accounts which has been given. This is meanwhile 3 or more months ago.

I also remember, Kai Schober telling us in german forums all the time how he pushs tickets about botreports over and over again, they are still active.

Meanwhile, after the russian community was able to show via bankscreenshots the suspicious movements of those accounts, the PTS Patchnotes say, that guilds will get another function: to hide the bank movements. And this, while ZOS isnt even able to follow moving gold from exploits from account to acocunt, into banks, into guild banks, via sales. Now ZOS is even able to close down the only chance of seeing it for the normal community, not beeing able to report, if something suspicious happen and opening a wider range of possibilities for goldsellers to work even in bigger trading guilds, even beeing able to enlarge also mistrust towards normal and honest working guilds with that.

Also, after enabling the function to change an account name as often as somebody wants to also within a very short time, right days afer a friend of me made an addon, which should help keeping up a blacklist for bots, so u dont have to search down your roster or the sales for them, they get autokicked. After this change bots and goldsellers were able to change their accountname over and over again and sell in the trading guilds over and over again before they get re-spotted. Not to mention that also ZOS seemingly has problems to follow accountname-changes.

After all this time i imagine ZOS staff sitting there "500 people reportet a goldseller"....ban account, beeing happy, not checking anything else anymore and think they are done with fixing the issue.

I gave up on leading my guilds already days before and wanted to announce it on sunday evening after the bids, main reason was the discontent with the botting/goldseller-situation and the feeling it wont ever change or get better again and all the fights are just useless.

While the Aether. Dust thread was ongoing and actual, I was quite active, providing edited screenshots, while my signature showed quite obvious, of which guilds GM I am/was.

Maybe it was a coincidence, but maybe it wasnt - and I know, some people think it wasn't - If now goldsellers start threatening the people and trade guild GM with bids via gold from exploits - then you have a problem, a serious problem. None of the guilds will be able to fight this. People will step back from helping ZOS to deal the problem, people wont act or kick those accounts from their guilds anymore, and more of that, by the feeling of beeing helplessly exposed to this situation, people will start more and more to arrange with the situation, with those people and with their practices.

Or just quit.

@ZOS_KaiSchober , I know I often have been rude in the forums, mainly against ZOS. But I was one of those people, sitting in the evening, gathering material, screenshots, sending it to ZOS, reporting over and over again, helping and all you gave me, was a buttkick on my last evening as guildmaster of a trade guild.

It has been deleted in 10 minutes or so after it was posted. Someone reposted it on Reddit, but all pictures and links were quickly removed.

Sure it does. You can buy "throw away" accounts for about 10-15 bucks each off the various websites (I won't name here) that offer account services. Thousands of players have purchased the base game, tried it for a few weeks, and decided it wasn't for them. They sell those accounts very cheap on these websites. Gold suppliers will pay say 60 bucks for 4 throw away accounts and they will either run bot trains or multi-box (if that's even possible in ESO). The gold is either laundered or quickly moved off those characters to the people buying gold, so the $60 investment is made back rather quickly and usually considered "the cost of doing business" if the throw away account is banned.

I will offer another good to know tidbit of information- If you do buy gold, Zenimax is pretty good about banning the gold supplier accounts. Chances are you will lose that gold and receive an in game mail letting you know they removed gold from your account.

Since ZOS didnt say anything about that thing till now...we were unsure wether the guild got deleted by ZOS or disbanded by the GM. So we just tried Just4Fun to build a guild with that name and found out, the name is RU Trade is blocked - means there might be a new formed guild. Since ZOS stated last year, they cannot move a guild from their hub, the guild must have been deleted from one side. We just dont know from which.

Might be other accounts belonging to them built it new - they are still selling quite fine on russian goldseller market...

Another thing I noticed that was interesting when I was going out and screenshotting the bot trains, was occasionally it seemed like someone would notice my presence there following them, and suddenly 3 or 4 of them would instantly vanish at precisely the same time.

Bots are set to log off periodically so as to make them seem more like human players. They usully run for like 10-15 hours a day rather than 24/7. If you keep an eye on a bot train for a while, you'll notice they essentially have "shifts".

Even the auto-follow folks are suspicious. I mean how many people have that many computers running, with that many accounts, and for what purpose? I'm sure a very few people may actually do this for his/her own reasons, but if I was a gambler I'd bet that these supposed "auto-following" accounts belong to a gold farmer.

They are definitely bots. They don't respond to any prompts and follow a preset route that doesn't change at all.

They also get lost sometimes. When you see a player (or multiple players) running into a wall and then jumping every 5 seconds, you're probably not looking at a human player. Especially if you come back to that spot 5 hours later and they are still there, running into the same wall.

easy example: last month 2166 users were banned for <insert exploit here> - there is no naming and shaming but is a *warning* to others that this is being looked at and reassuring to non-cheaters that its a level playing field.

Even when we asked you to fix the Cheat Engine issues, you came up with a vague 'we are deploying a new system' and we never heard about it again.

So are all the cheat engine exploits now fixed?

But as per your above 'obviously you cant divulge any details' - please end this self imposed silence and *communicate* with your users about your efforts to stop cheating, exploiting, botting, scamming etc!

They are definitely there and probably *worse* than what it used to be, the pro botters are much cleverer at finding rare locations to avoid detection by passing players, like the old days.

I did something stupid and deleted the old screenshots of Russian botters on my Imgur account thinking it'll stay in the forums (in other forums other than ESO official forums). I've updated these posts with screenshots from InvestigatorGarot's DropBox and also added more.

Hey guys, I have a (hypothetical) scenario that hasn't been discussed here:
What if it/they are people of a RL group not discussed here? A group so obvious you might not even consider it, because they are so close to the game (hint, hint ). NOT inferring that they are. Has anyone even considered that possibility?
