Looks really good.

Well, I guess only Lamoe left for me, need to get my vamp alt to rank 10 then, and hope about that color working properly.
If anyone tested colors on Merc motifs, would nice to hear from you people

You can probably be carried
If you are PC NA I will assist holy fasion mission. Though normal trials are super easy ...talking easier than banished cells 1.Either way here to help if needed.

Lamae's and Julianos are both very white, however the specular map for both is a sort of shimmery blue, so on leather, or cloth with a specular map (Daedric Light legs for example) there will be a blueish shimmer. On Leather it looks ok, but on cloth it looks a bit plastic wrappy.
Be aware though that on leather, it looks like blue and white, not just white, and on some leather it doesnt even go white, but more a light tan with lighter highlights and the blue sheen.
The whitest matte white is Birch White, from deconstructing stuff, iirc, and while more on the creamy side, it has no specular color, so is just a flat white.
In order of whiteness, Julianos, on a matte surface, is by far and away the whitest white. Lamaes is the second whitest white and birch white is the third whitest white. Again, all on matte surfaces.
Birch white would make the best platinum/white gold/silver metal, as it has no secondary color specular. However lamaes and julianos whites on metal have a sort of blue shimmer to them that looks quite magical, if a bit stark (somehow they seem to up the contrast on metal, probably due to the blue/white combo on low/high points respectively)
The problematic armors I have found for dying white are as follows:
leather elements of glass armor
leather elements of silken ring armor
cloth elements of daedric armor
cloth elements of ebony armor
debatably leather elements of ebony armor (the blue/white is much MUCH more pronounced, which looks cool but isnt really white)
leather elements of Hircines Veneer armor
the best armors to dye period are the blue racial motifs. They tend to take dye really well and clearly, I suppose to make up for their lacking overall design. The only exception to this is bosmeri stuff, its mainly leather and instead of dying separate leather pieces, theres a kind of gradient that doesnt dye well as one of them has high specular, the other has low, so it tends to look off with light colors.
I realize thats a bit of a wall of text, but I was quite obsessed with white dyes for a while and whenever people ask about them, I feel it may be useful to share the fruits of my research.
TL:DR
Lamaes is nearly as white as Julianos and will suffice for most needs, but Julianos is noticeably whiter.

As you can see Julianos White is the best white there is. Do nAA, you won't regret it.
And as a bonus Julianos White on both pieces.

Thanks for the test !
Still looks a bit dirty( On the coat I mean, gloves have right color ). But alot better then " white`s " I tried myself. Well..Guess I will have to be a bit more creative in terms of mixing white with something
Just wanted to say I love this thread. I enjoy reading about colors and checking out the gear appearances.
Also, didn't realize there were good white dyes stuck in stamps. That actually gives me a reason to consider buying one. (Never thought I'd say that.)
Good stuff from you today, ESO Forums.

The exception is, some of the holiday events have included new dyes, which... I really wish they wouldn't do that. At least unlock those dyes for everyone with the appropriate achievements after the event is over. As is, there's some cool dyes you cannot use on normal armor.
