Counter-bots?

[ramble] I wonder if it's possible to send armies of counter-bots that farm the crap out of the same area bot trains are farming. Kind of defeats though purpose though I guess, since you'd also be farming, but hey, who says you can't sustain yourself by fighting evil with evil? Downside with this is that it could escalate into a situation where non-bots would no longer have anything left to kill. Skynet, HZD, etc scenario?

This type of toxic idea would just increase the problem for everybody who isn't botting. Nobody cares about your morals, principles or misplaced sense of justice...

You used to be able to "train" mobs into their path and kill them. Unfortunately, bot programming has evolved to the point that it doesn't work any more.

I wonder if they could expand the algorithm that targets you if you stand still at a dolmen to make it so that if you follow the exact same path more than once, it will kill your character? Even farmers who follow dedicated routes vary somewhat in their paths.

Probably be a drain.

We need GMs that respond to Bot reports and patrol the game from time to time.

That would have been fun to do. Sometimes, after having reported the bots, I farm the same area the bots are farming just to slow their progress, but of course I'm human and they are scripted so I was never going to win, unless I was scripted too of course, which led me to write this post. I do report every single bot I come across though, so at least there's that?

You're right. I've never even seen a GM once actually.

I was thinking that it could be a special added perk to the justice system. I know it could easily be manipulated and taken advantage of. But if they are not going to do the work themselves, I'm sure there are players out there that would be more than happy to be of assistance.

I think the community would rejoice and hunt down the bots to extinction. I'd pay Crown for a license to kill bots lol.
