This is a video of MILD lag on xbox.. This is not as bad as it gets although close to the end, in skyreach, that is closer to how it gets in pvp. this is from 2-3 months ago i believe and all i have right now. When i have more ill post. not sure how to post the video in the chat window without the link, never had to post one before. And again, its hard to tell with videos like this. For the most part it just makes me look like im playing like an idiot. But skills arent going off after 5 trys, same with bar swap. Its even hard to move, like hard to control your character b/c its so choppy.

Most of us play the game and have first hand understanding of how the game performs on our platform. The main question is if you find this game so displeasurable why do you?

Yea, I see bugs but nothing that impacts my game for more than a few seconds except for Cyrodiil lag when in a big keep fight. I've probably seen things you have not.

So first of all, this does not look like lag. Lag implies connection issues and all I see on this video is FPS drops. ESO is not very well optimized (same as probably all the games on the market right now) and It looks like xBox actually doesn't match system requirments to run it properly under heavy load. Because of that you start getting those FPS drops. This issue is not server side.

Also explains why those issues are not as prevalent on PC and only some people experience them. If you have a good PC your framerate will be above 30 all the time and if your rig is pretty weak the game will become "stuttery" under heavy load such as PvP or trials.

Just to clarify, service can mean anything in this game (DLCs, crown store items, merchant/banker etc.) So meaning that if the stuff that you pay for does not work then to bad for you, either quit or deal with it.

That's good advice, you should heed it.

@Royaji Ya that is mostly fps drops, but you cannot seriously say there isnt a problem with some of that? in the beginning its mild, and again its much worse than that video shows. Its hard to explain, like i said, its like you cant move because its so choppy. Everything you try to do is bogged down severly. It gets muchh worse than that.

ill get better videos and post them eventually, thats all i have right now. But later in that video you can see freeze frames that happen with a lot of people around. Also the endless crashing and that video is from a good hour of pvp and i crashed twice in that time. Its a non stop thing. Never ending. And you are probably right about xbox not being able to handle it, but we will never know because zos wont acknowledge it unfortunately. It always looks so crystal clear on pc, i wish we had that, but even more just some info from zos.. And it is clear and good sometimes, dont get me wrong, its just now especially when everyones in a zerg its hard to find fights that arent near a large scale fight that is lagging/freeze framing/crashing/frame dropping.

If you dont like it, dont play it. That's what the tos tells you, and that's what your common sense should be telling you too.

Why tf are you spending hours of your time writing essays that are basically just an elaborate "my game lags and i dont like it", idk.

@Sharee thats honestly a valid point.. and the answer is a few things. I dont quit because i like the majority of the game but pvp (my top thing to do) is broken AF, also, i have spent years in this game And i have hopes for this game getting better on the next console. *edit* Or getting a platform change option one day.

I spent time (deff not hours) writing that post just to let people know how messed up zos is, what to expect from them, and that they ignore people about issues they cant fix like cyrodil on xbox.. and i am free for the majority of the day today. And i like to argue, alot.

Oh and because i have posted those "my game lags, i dont like it, please fix it, whys it happening" posts and sent in those tickets before. To get nothing.

    Nobody's investing. Not anymore.
ZOS doesn't understand why such a large percent of their population is casual.

It's because there's very little to get or be passionate about anymore. Same ***, different day.

It's kind of like the casual dieter who enthusiastically goes to the grocery store and buys a lot of vegetables. Feels pretty cool the first day but after months they're *** tired of salad because they're calorie starved and cannot find joy in the monotony of eating leaves. And then they give up the diet and binge on something else.

That's where ESO is now. There's still good in it, but nobody's particularly engaged. The marketing gets predatory because it's trying to convince you that a new costume or pet will bring the joy back. It won't. They want you to gamble on a feeling that will never come back. ESO's biggest flaw is that no matter what you do in the game, you arrive at the same few outcomes. Which makes the world feel stagnant. No risks. No stakes. No daily surprises.

ZOS chose to make a very average product across multiple platforms. They expanded their market reach but limited their creative responsiveness. Maybe they're right. Maybe we should stop comparing them to other games and just start comparing them to McDonald's. Because that's the exact style of easy-access blandness they're produced.

@KochDerDamonen I dont think they are legally responsible, but ethically hell ya they are. Its messed up how they ignore something like this on the forums and tell people its their fault in tickets. Even on the BBB i read some complaints about this specific issue on xbox they gave the same cut and paste message. Ill post one of the messages at some point...

@itzTJ That was my point, this is standard. Their behavior is poor.

This is reason #1 I will never pay any more than the standard "subscription fee" to play an online game. I get that the subscription fee goes toward maintenance/upgrading for the servers I use to play the game. That's fine. I'm also one of those players that doesn't need EVERY SINGLE NEW SHINY THING that comes out. I budget my crowns I get from my subscription. If I like something, I get it. If I don't have enough crowns, I wait. If it's a limited time offer, oh well. I'm sure it'll be back later. If not, I really don't care.

I'll continue to play the game while it's entertaining. Once it becomes boring or starts to feel like work, I'll move on. It's not really rocket science. Games are meant to be fun. When they are no longer fun, move on.

@PlagueSD ***, id pay more if they just made the damn game work in the areas i spoke of.. Never had an issue paying for eso plus til cyrodil became unplayable for so long.. Oh and when that " eso plus gives you access to all downloadable content" statement turned out to be BS with morrowind.

I got access to all downloadable content with my ESO+ subscription. I have orsinium, shadows of the hist, homestead, onetamriel, dark brotherhood and thieve's guild DLCs active on my account. Morrowind is not a DLC, its an expansion - Just like Mists of Pandaria was for WoW.

Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

    Um, yes they do.

In fact Matt Firor even quoted the change to chapters plus small DLC was to cater to a more casual audience. ZOS want people who will come in, pay for and play the new content, then walk away again after 2 or 3 weeks.

ZOS's new model is specifically to draw in the casual whales with less time but more money.
