@josiahva The best way to describe it is like this. On any given day in pvp the lag is unreal, anytime im with a group everyone is crashing multiple times. If im solo, im crashing multiple times. But the worst part is that pvp is large scale right now, at a fight with less than 10 people in the area then its okay, but those fights are almost non existent. A keep fight or a bridge fight is not playable. The lag is overwhelming. 20 or more people and it takes many trys to swap bars, same with hitting skills. If you get 50+ people fighting at a keep you are going frame by frame. People in your group crashing in and out of cyrodil. Its non stop. Those numbers are estimates but i doubt im off by much, as this is an everyday thing in a full campaign.

And if you solo or kite people from a zerg, the zergs lag comes to. I mean if your in a 5 man fighting a 15 man you might be alright with lag but if you are near a zerg fight its all over. And most of the time that is the only combat. I wrote this post the other day when my whole 8 man group crashed within 20 minutes and the entire server was lagging at peak time, all alliances that were at a keep were glitching around. . This is the issue with pvp on xbox and its been like this for a long time, thats why i originally wrote this because i have never been able to get an answer from zenimax besides robotic ones, and the future seems bleak and its messed up.

I hate to be "that guy", but this is pretty much stated in the Terms of Service nearly verbatim in most (if not all) online games; especially MMORPG's.

To be fair the TOS may not be worth the metaphorical paper they are written on, the only place these things are really tested is if someone takes it to court.

Take not be able to resell software licenses for example, that is commonly written into TOS, EULA, etc over the years, then it went to court in Europe and the European Court ruled that consumers could indeed legally resell those licenses if they wish, the TOS, EULA, were worthless.

You could always come and play on the EU server. We NEED more players, PvP is almost entirely dead, XBox EU is leeching players at a rate of knots. Theres still a fair few players around, but those that do hang around are all doing BG's now. If you go into the alliance zones its just full of grinding trains trying to get the best gear and level up quickly solely so they can do BG's and Trials.

XBox EU needs more players. Its so quiet sometimes......

I think "buyer beware" also comes into play here (getting good advice such as you have given in your op). Players pay for the use of online content. They do not pay to own it. This is why I held back on housing. To me monthly subs are safe because it encompasses more than one aspect, so if something doesn't work, I can just move on to something else. The same cannot be said for paying for one aspect. If it doesn't work then you just simply got screwed. Additionally, this is not an investment. An investment would indicate that you will have some kind of return on your invested time and money. All we get in return is entertainment because as I said earlier, we cannot own the content.

I never said anything about anyone suing zos or wanting to sue zos, thats what uniformed people say. Basically im saying they treat people poorly especially when it comes to console, especially with customer service, and it can happen to anyone.

Thanks for the advice and the invitation, but the thing is i really dont want to grind for 750 CP again. I own the game on PC as well but grinding is boring and i have done enough on xbox. I wish they would offer a platform change, but sadly they dont yet.

PC players are currently worried about a possible dupe glitch occuring, and they are waiting in hope to see it be resolved. There is an over 20 page thread of discussion because BG's aren't working.

Now imagine the issues above were ignored, for literally years, and the game remained unlplayable and broken. Would those here slating the OP be okay with that?

That is the situation on Xbox. It's always been the case for PvP on most platforms tbf. But imagine getting lost frames and disconnects in DLC zones. Since Orsinium it's really been a major problem.

Why shouldn't the OP be annoyed and attempt to tell others that the issue is never being resolved. Like the PC players aren't already up in arms about issues effecting them!?

Thats it. All i was trying to do was point something out that i found ridiculous. If anyone goes and read some of the complaints and then replies from ZOS they would see that zos doesnt really care if something doesnt work.

If they dont have a fix to speak of they are just going to divert, and i think thats so wrong. And some people dont know, so thats why i wrote this. Honesty would be better. If they just kept us updated with bugs/exploits/progress then this wouldn't be an issue. A simple " we are working on it" would be good enough, but i cant even get that. Just robotic messages telling me how the lag is my fault when its happening to everyone around me in cyrodil.

But even then, after this long, i doubt they have a fix for this particular issue. Hell, if they put bugs/exploits/progress on the startup page they would avoid a lot of issues, tickets, and arguments about wrongful bans. But thats another story. Also, Im investing my time and money for enjoyment, thats the only thing i want in return. But for a while its been hard to not log off angry when it doesn't work day after day.

@NeillMcAttack Thank you -_- it is frustrating. TBH I decided to write this post after a few days of reading some of zenimax's responses to their BBB page, telling people the same thing I've been told over and over about how the lag is our fault and to either quit or deal with it... And after a particularly horrible 2 days in cyrodil where my whole group of 8-10 players rage quit both times due to lag and crashing. Its just so frustrating and after all this time not a peep about it from zos on forum posts or anywhere.. I just wanted to let people know that if there is an issue they cant solve, dont hold your breath.

And your 100% right, i was reading that post a little while ago. I dont know why some people get so hostile about issues that seemingly dont effect them, but if it is an issue that does effect them then they understand and want it solved.

This post was never meant to talk about suing zos or something like that.. You cant sue a company when you agree to the TOS when you enter the game. I mean you cant even get your money back for the game, if you wanted to, in most cases. Just a warning to people who dont know how some issues are treated, IF they dont know...

@SanTii.92 alot of the time when i do manage to record it, it just looks like im playing like an idiot. Thats because the frame rate is so bad that i cant bar swap and skills are not going off. But the frame rate doesn't show that good in the xbox capture for some reason. So it ends up looking like me swinging my sword around like a fool and then getting blown up by whatever ends up hitting me before i see it coming lmao. But streaming it works better so i will see.

I have not played on XBOX, but about once a month, I run into a low level CP player that has recently switched. The stories I hear are outrageous if they are even half true. From what I gather, PVP, VMOL, and often HelRa are simply unplayable.

I don't know what the long term solution is. Perhaps xbox cant handle the game (doubt that's the case). In any event, the short term solution is simple. Everyone on Xbox should be given a platform change if they want one. We would welcome you all on PC.

If anyone makes the jump to PC and needs a little help with gear getting started, shoot me a message.

Meh, I'm having fun paying what I pay for the game. I don't go to watch movies which would be like £10 for 2 hour entertainment so in my eyes paying like £200 over the course of 3 years with like 4000 hours is not too shabby for me. It's not an investment, like many have already stated in the thread. I mean you don't go to the movies expecting to OWN that movie. You just do it and enjoy it and move on when it's all said and done.

If you bought the game in store...you cannot read the TOS aren't visible until you load the game up. Break the seal on the game and invalidate any refund from the store. Thus these terms on these grounds alone are not actually legally binding as it forces an unfair contract due to terms changing after sale. In the EU anyway. So please stop with the defending of zos. Fact remains OP speaks the truth. Performance on console is an absolute shambles. *** terms are not a justification for having a subpar product.

If you look at reviews on the Better Business Bureau for ANY business, they'll look horrible. The reason is that people only go there if they have a complaint. The (literally) millions of people who enjoy the game and are happy with it don't post a complaint with the BBB.

@KochDerDamonen I dont think they are legally responsible, but ethically hell ya they are. Its messed up how they ignore something like this on the forums and tell people its their fault in tickets. Even on the BBB i read some complaints about this specific issue on xbox they gave the same cut and paste message. Ill post one of the messages at some point...
