wtf m8? 14 chars, 8 did main quest and 11 have all shards from this zone, and you tell me this? I just dont want to do CH quest before doing all quests that lead you to CH in the first place, and for some reason Zos blocked part of CH compared to situation before.
After 14 characters.. why are you surprised at how the game works?
I am surprised how this was changed, yet I didnt find any info about that in any of the patch notes we were given. And trust me, I read them all.
It wasn't changed. You've never been able to get to Cold Harbour at all without porting to a guildmate. Porting to one of the northern shrines has always requires you have someone up there to port to. Unless you're saying you had a guildmate at a northern shrine and it wouldn't let you port to them. If that's the case, then, yeah, that's new.
Yeah. Im saying that I had a guildmate who was farming stygian for some reason unknown on northern world boss and I couldnt port to him. It was odd so I asked him to be exactly at wayshrine. None worked, still was unable to port to him. Then I asked a friend who was willing to help to see if result might be different. We were in group, I could see her camping on a F wayshrine. Still no luck. Then I was desperate and asked random ppl for port, even offered 5k to ones willing to help. You know what - didnt work as well. At that point I came here to QQ. Bit later tested with my mule account, as I wrote about it.
Bs like this, that noone knew about, R word changes made that weren't asked for or even needed at all is what makes me rage. If they did cutoff entire CH for chars that had not done main quest up to CH, I could understand that. I would not agree, being that ESO is advertised as "play your way, any zone at any time", but I would understand. But this, utter bs, this is something I can't understand at all. At least, they should have said something, if pulling a stunt like that. Tell us when u change something, damn it. I know it is not biggest and most important thing in ESO, but why changing it in the 1st place? Among all things that need tweaking and adjustments, overhauls or back-to-the-drawing-board fixes, someone at Zos decided OhYeahLetsCutOff3WayshrinesInColdharbourSinceThatIsTheBiggestIssueATM... Bah, I'm going to sleep.

If you haven't talked to the "Shadowy figure" yet, I don't think you can get to coldharbor. Haven't tried on my warden yet because I'm actually playing the game and exploring Morrowind.

A bug? Who said it was a bug? I'd like a source please.
If ZOS told you it was a bug would that make you believe it was so? What kind of a source would you like? It clearly wasn't working as intended. You were not supposed to get to Coldharbour before the storyline told you to go there.

Except that logic works for ALL zones. I can port to Reapers March/The Rift/Bangkorai as a level 3. But the main storyline tells me to go there after completing the 4 zones before them.
So I'll be either waiting on your source or you can admit to posting fake news.
You mean.. you want the points without actually playing the game..

This thread is full of hurrrr

I gotta admit, that caught me off guard. When I first made my new character (Warden), I was given the option to skip the tutorial or so it. This is because I already had a character which has beaten it before. I also have characters which have completed the entire main quest entirely. So when I realized that I wasn't getting visits from the prophet, I started to wonder if my game was bugged. Come to find out, I had to go and do all that crap involved in the tutorial regardless. -_-

That makes 0 sense. The whole point of One Tamriel was opening up every single zone to players BEFORE the storylines gets them there yet half of one(and only one, and only half) of the zones is now suddenly locked off in the way it's never been before. That sounds like either a bug or a very stupid and unneeded change.

Coldharbor was ALWAYS locked off like - I don't get where you people are coming from that think it wasn't. This was literally always the case. It's part of the story to unlock the area and has been since the laynch of the game.
It also doesn't conflict with the statement behind One Tamriel because you CAN visit the Zone at any point in time, and you can also easily stop crying and do the quest to unlock the rest. It's blocked off for very obvious reasons.

You don't need that many to unlock skills to level and morph - sacrifice some passives for a little while if necessary. On my skyshard runs, I always go into public dungeons and complete the group event too to gain a bonus skill point. I never had to complete all three alliance zones and have only done so on one character for the achievement.
About a year ago, what I noticed that was that ports into northern CH worked only if you ported to a character who had "legitimate" access.
So if I port to my main character who had completed CH, there was no issue.
If I port to an alt who had gained access by porting and not by doing the CH quest, the ports would always place me at a wayshrine outside of the north.
