If you bought the physical copy, all accounts can play.

If you bought the digital copy.. well, you're gonna have to keep paying.

This is why physical versions are typically the best for console

    You confirm that?

If it's true I will just get the physical copy because I'm not spending 80€ to play with my gf, I just want the Battlegrounds and she just want the Class

No it's not. The physical copy most likely comes with an authentication key that will be used to either upgrade your existing version, or be used a new account. You can't upgrade two with or something like that.

This is very common practice and I'm really surprise someone playing mmos isn't aware of itm

    It's only common on PCs.

For example, I have... 10 Xbox accounts all that have access to ESO, and only have the one physical game

Yes, Xbox accounts, but only one eso'. You can't play simultaneously with one eso account even if you got the game installed on two consoles.

You can, on PS4 at least, my ps plus is shared to my gf, also my base game

So your ingame tag is the same as your psn's? Well, that's pretty ridiculous lol. Nice for you.

    Yes, why?

She play ESO with another account using my ps plus and base game and we play simultaneously every day but this DLC will be without us I guess :D

On Xbox one you can game share with those in your household. Not the same account, Jack wagons. I bought Eso, I can play on my account, while my wife plays on hers, and the kids on theirs, without having to shell out 4x the money for the same game. So If I can pay $60 for the base game and do this, I should be able to do the same with additional content after paying $40 for an "upgrade"

For the PC ***, well, you're just irrelevant to this conversation.

As confirmed by many, many players, even though it was $40 and marketed as a separate game, this is NOT sharable. My wife can't play the content. This will by my very last purchase from Zos or Bethesda. They are now on my do not buy list along with Bungie. Time to cancel my plus membership I've had since day one. This company cares nothing about its players.

IMO the base game should not have been shareable. The game is not B2P. Not F2P because some games can be shared on consoles.

I thought game sharing was technically against the ToS for this and other games on console.

So you are giving us a heads up we cannot keep defrauding ZoS with counterfeit copies? I am a little confused.

So for who have 2 kids like me.. We have to pay 120€ for 3 upgrades?

    Nah. See ya ZoS.
The little difference between ZoS and seriously other Soft. Houses is in that decision.
All ppl i know playin with Sharing accounts on Xbox 1 and they HAVE TO PUT THAT INFO ON THE PRE-ORDER IN OUR DIGITAL STORE.
But they haven't put NOTHING about that.

So we all reclaim our money and says goodbye to Zo$ and TESO. And... when i start to playin this game, i subscribed an ESO Plus Membership.

For those who are on PC, Xbox does game share which works differently than your precious PC. So some don't know about how u can't share the add on's, I learned later on, but they made this add on seem like it could be shared because they made it seem like a new game. So it's there fault for leading people on. They should have advertised it like the old add one or they should have stated no game sharing possible. They should be refunding some of the people money back if they wish or at least send another code to play it to those who share it. I for one gave my friend money to download it so we could play it together and when it downloaded for him, it downloaded for me as well. Which kind of gave our hopes up. I don't want to refund it because I don't want to be a jerk and take it away from him, the least they can do is give us a code for it or at least apologize to us. If they won't at least apologize then we should boycott them, cause they wasted our time and money with this. It may seem harsh but I at least demand an apology.

I spend one time my money for games for all my family (wife + 2 kids).
For me buy 3 copies more for make all my family like others players in the world, it's just a major purchase decision.

Ops, i talk for 3 copies more then mine.. So 4 x 40€ = 160€ = 30 hrs of game, 1 new class, 1 island = 1 year of """""DLC"""""", cause next year i have to buy another one (at the same price, with the same waste of money. and i don't count 4 ESO plus every months).
130€ for Destiny 1 with all DLC = 3 years of game FOR ALL MY FAMILY.

    LAWL.

    ;)

Hope you have some kids and a wife soon, and they wanna play with you your fav game. ;)

It's not a matter of opinion. It's a console requirement for all developers.
PC just gouges people and this the reaction to E3 2013 for Xbox one.

Within reason family and close friends should be able to share their games. Now we've moved on from discs but still that doesn't or shouldn't invite companies to drain people

Even Apple allows music and movies and app share with games too. Steam is offering a feature too.

Within reason everyone should have some level of freedom for entertainment.

Heck we can share cars, homes, property but not a game.

It doesn't matter why you bought it on console. Just because an implementation technicality allowed you to open multiple accounts doesn't entitle you to get addons on all of them. Deal with it.

It is expensive to have multiple people play an MMO. That is life. Be happy you saved on the base game. There is no injustice in each account needing to buy addon content separately. If you were counting on that being the case, you were mistaken.

It is good to warn people as you do in the subject. But there is nothing to complain about.

    @NewBlacksmurf

It is really not that simple.

Steam - publishers are permitted to block sharing. This occurred with Ark, Survival Evolved, I believe the it was late 2015 the publisher started blocking sharing.

PSN - publishers are permitted to block sharing. Persona 5 blocked much to prevent sharing content. idk the details other than it was early release in Japan. Not sure if it continued after the world wide release of the game or the extent.

    Microsoft - idk

Regardless, as you have seems to even acknowledge, this is about the host, not Zos since Zos does not have control over the platform.

When you buy a physical game disc, that disk should be able to be inserted into any pc or console at any time and used. This is the case with ESO on PS4 as anyone in the family can use their own login on the playstation and play ESO on their own ESO account with their own characters. I do not see this as 'game sharing' and in breach of any rules.

What ESO has done with this 'expansion', just as they do with DLC's, is make a part of the game 'single use item' - so once it is loaded into an ESO account, it cannot be re-used. To me, all that does is make it more like a DLC than an expansion and only further reinforces the theory that it is not called a DLC because they simply wanted to charge everyone for it.

Two things they could have done to stop people getting so upset:

    1. Made sure it was clear to whoever bought Morrowind - without having to read through loads of fine print or troll through the forums - that what they were purchasing was only going to be available for one ESO game account.

    2. Made available a multiple user licence version, in the same way that other software is sold. Say, for use on the one machine, you can get a single user licence for $40, 2 user licence for $70, 3 user licence for $90, etc...

I would also like to suggest that people who are simply telling others to 'get over it' and 'live with it' do not have other family members who enjoy the game and are not facing the prospect of paying for multiple copies of Morrowind.

With the recent case ruling in the US Supreme Court i would question if ZOS has the power any more to forbid account sharing. I will link it in this post, but basicly the court ruled in favor of consumers in the right to use a product how they wish after purchase. While i agree you need multiple copies of Morrowind for multiple accounts. It is a wonder on how this ruling will effect the gaming community as of yet.
