Someone did it in front of me. I asked them how they did that, and they explained what had happened and what another person had told them about how the bug works. It surprised them as well. I have details, but I don't want to post on the forums per the forum rules.

Can a mod or someone message me for screenshots? I have already reported the bug in game, but it doesn't let me attach screenshots of the conversation there.

I recently reported an exploit by messaging ZOS_GinaBruno ZOS_JessicaFolsom ZOS_RichLambert

Both Rich and Gina confirmed receipt and it would be passed on, however remember they get stacks of messages and notifications every day so it might not be noticed or even replied to.

You should as well (if not already) submit a bug report in game via /bug with as much information as possible on the issue.

Understandable not to share, even though I Think bugs/exploits should be shared with details on the forums. The reasoning behind this is that the more people that know about a certain exploit, the more will use it ----> more people using it ----> more reports ----> quicker fix. My Point of view is just Another way of making the Community more aware of " #x exploit".

This post felt almost like a clickbait xD, but understandable not to share the details

The issue you have there is when the exploits have economic effects (like the surveys one).

It creates a stack more work for ZOS as they have to go through hundreds or thousands more accounts to take back items which have been earned unfairly.

Also just because more people are using/reporting the issue doesn't mean ZOS can code a fix any faster. The best solution is for people to report it quietly, ZOS to keep an eye on it, if it starts to proliferate in use go public with a statement they're aware of an issue (not how to do it, just the issue) and will be taking action against all those using it.
This scares off many limiting the post fix work, then fix it and take the time to punish those who they caught abusing it.

This was a lot of the reasoning behind those exposing cheat engine. and that got them a 1 year ban almost.
