Yes, I don't even use all of my furnishing slots.
I will admit that I only bought my homes so that I can fast travel to an area and not have to pay for it.

I have all of three apartments, and i'm not even filling those up. Housing has no meaning to me beyond the occasional wayshrine destination until they add some storage.

No. Trying to properly decorate a manor/big home with just 700 slots, as an eso plus member, is not even remotely possible.
It's ridiculously too little. I own the cave, Hunding's, and Daggerfall Castle, and I nearly maxed out two houses already with most of the place still missing anything.

The arena I built in the cave, which is absolutely MASSIVE in size, takes up 500 slots on its own. 500 slots. I want you to think about that for a little, and consider that I only have 200 slots left then for this crazily massive cave. There's just so little means for intricate details, and the building supplies are primitive in use anyway.

Hunding's is already at 600 slots full for me, and I filled that to the brim with Conservatory items, yet the ENTIRE house is empty. Only the outside has detail. The beach is nearly empty, and I have no other options other than to salvage some really beautiful designs to just fill up the rest of the place.

With 600/600 slots (ESO+) it's barely possible to cover all rooms with just basic furniture. Not only there's no additional decorating possible - but to even make it look good you're forced to constantly use visual tricks and smart-count every single item.

Mathiisen is absolutely huge and has such a crazy amount of room inside. I completely agree; 600 is way too small considering how much room there is.

I would only be curious to know if there is a technical or performance issues for that limit in those size defined houses for not being able to get bigger, if the only reason is to force you to buy bigger houses, i would say just add crown housing home house like bags, that would be cool and they wouldn't loose money for bigger houses. :) I made a crypt on my average side house, but i reached the limit :(

500 Slots used for the arena, secret cave underneath arena, and the name in the water. Leaves me 200 to do the entire castle, and the whole courtyard... In all honesty I don't even think doubling the available item slots would be enough to make a manor look decent. ZOS has said in the past they started out extremely low to see how the servers could handle it, and planned on increasing the item limit. Yet this did not come with the expansion we all paid an extra $60 for?

But I think YOU should definitely have more. If you promise to post more screenies. Nice work!

Coming close to the 600 Slot max on the Lake Amaya Lodge home, and there's still so much more I feel I need to do with it.

ZOS should, at least, allow us thousands of small-slots, several hundred medium-slots, etc, etc.

Sounds odd to use an FPS as an example here, but Halo Forge (its' map creator) allows you to use structure parts as opposed to individual bricks.

Maybe that's what we need to have in order to at least conserve our furnishing slots. IE: rooves, columns, floors, windows, etc.

It's Daggerfall Overlook. 3.8 million gold, or thereabouts and you'll need to grind a horrid number of quests throughout DC to get the required achievement.

even if one doesn't go all out building fun things.. just regular furnishing is difficult to do properly with these limits. little touches are important becasue they add a lived in feel to a home but they also take up a LOT of item slots without coming even close to cluttering the space. just placing a vase with flowers on a table is like 3 slots. hanging flowerpots usual end up being 4 or 5. i have a wine rack in my kitchen - and between the rack itself, the bottles stored in it and the stand for it? that's dozen spaces right there for a tiny corner of the kitchen.

I understand that the reason for limits is performance and lag, but...

I dont care about housing at all. I'm not a home-decorator in real-life, so why would I want to do it in-game when there is no use for it?

Yes, I don't even use all of my furnishing slots.
I consider the present limits fine for the newly launched housing, and I've no doubt they will be raised as performance is enhanced. However, bear in mind that it isn't just about furnishing limits, a lot of people are also concerned about player limits and the two are interlinked performance-wise. Then again, people want also storage in their houses. Everything comes down to what the database server can handle smoothly. Things will improve over time I'm sure, they always do with this kind of thing.

Personally, I have no interest in the furnishing or player caps or in using my houses for storage. I'd just settle for being able to exit a house into the open world more quickly!

I appreciate your response, but they did acknowledge a couple times on how well the servers were handling everything. They also admitted that they made the item cap extremely low just to make sure performance was ok. The fact that they did not increase anything with this expansion is pretty sad. 82% of over 250 votes are in agreement with that.
