Shadowwalker, such a good niche set. I have a similar build myself. Getting Shadowwalker Sharpend Daggers is a nightmare! Spent over 3million ap and still dont have any.

I watching your video and tbh you dont really utalize shadowwalker that often. I think you would be better off with like eternal hunt based on how often you roll dodge after reviewing your playstyle.

    Good stuff btw. :)

Shadowwalker is more of a ganking set. Lets you stack max stam and avoid regen since the set has it covered.

    Good stuff btw. :)

It's definitely not a ganking set by any means. Two full cloaks with the 5 piece yields around 200 health recovery and 400 stam recovery over 60 seconds. That's 10% uptime. You don't need to use it frequently to get value out of it.

I use shadowwalker its really good. It could be used for ganking, magicka regen + max stamina food work really well with it. Shadowwalker acts as the sustain set and then you can pair it with clever and a monster set. No stam regen drink needed.

You gotta edit those numbers. Two cloaks is 6 seconds providing 12k stamina and 6k heals (in pvp) with shadowwalker while standing still.

He uses it a ton. And gankers don't need sustain and wouldn't have enough damage wearing Shadow Walker anyway. It's ideal for his play style because of exactly the reason you stated.

I use Shadowwalker, Clever Alchemist and Agility (could use a monster set but i choose not to). With magicka regen + MAX stam drink/food.. i have plenty of damage.

A traditional gank build would forgo the shadowalker for viper or somthing and use duel stat regen.

Both gank styles work. I produce huge burst with both setups. I wreckin you try it before judging, i plan on switching to the shadowalker setup come morrowwind because its been playing so well compared to the duel regen viper setup on console.

You could go max damage ganker with max food and no regen but i dont like waiting around. Which is where shadowwalker rocks.

It works. I produce huge numbers.

Traditional gank builds never needed stam regen drink. Only the ones who wanted to roll around and try to 1vX would use it over the max stam + mag regen one, or they'd switch to it if needed when escaping.

Also I question who you're killing forgoing viper/spriggans.

But that's not what this thread is about. Let's not derail.

I guess Traditional gank builds is different for every person. Ive found going full damage + no regen counter productive since you do a lot of waiting around. This coming from some1 who only ganks in pvp, i do nothing else in this game :)

You will have to try the build for your self to see who im killing. Its a dw/2h build. I honestly should make my own videos to support my claims but i like to keep my builds on the down low.

Even though we kinda derailing, we still bump thread for op which is publicity for him.

I know what the values are. You missed my point entirely. Was just referencing the 5 piece's tooltip value at 10% uptime ( in this example, 6 ticks, 6 seconds, 2 cloaks over 60 seconds). If I was to give a stamina regen tooltip value of the set for 3 ticks over 3 seconds (or 100% uptime), it would be 6000/3*2 = 4000 tooltip stam regen.

Nope. You are no longer in cloak after ambush. You may get a tick while traveling to your target but once contact is made cloak is broken.

@LeifErickson Interesting build, I've always really liked shadow walker, but since the sustain it offers has been useless for so long its gone unused.

I think its smart to stack double proc sets, that's the best way to get burst without resource strain. I'm curious what made you choose viper+oblivion enchant instead of widowmaker + ravage health poison. I know viper is a guaranteed proc, is the reliability the only reason?

@Lexxypwns Vipers 4 second cooldown ties really well with hvy att + surprise att weaves and cloak. Seleanes 4 second cooldown works well too. :)

The second set is the flex set. I use Clever Alch :)

Widow has a 10 second global cd now. No double baring poisons. :/

Right, but his build is built around kiting and sitting still in cloak. The cooldown seems irrelevant in this case. In the video you see he's kiting about 75% of the time and very rarely actually bursting people. I can see the appeal in the reliability of viper, I just know that widow provides more single target burst and its an AoE. Furthermore, the DoT from Ravage health poisons should provide more damage than the obilivion glyph, but maybe I'm wrong there.

I probably wouldn't drop viper for widow on any other stam blade build, but in theory he should be able to increase his burst because using shadow walker allows him to reset his resources and cooldowns, this way he can burst every time he disengages

@Lexxypwns do you have a sharpened widowmaker 2h? Viper 2h is easier to get. Leify here has a rng maul, but there's a sword that drops from Spawn of Mephala. Leif is aware, but doesn't feel like farming more.

That's the main argument against switching the sets. Accessibility.

You said that you get the 5part bonus while travelling towards the target, no? This is whats happening in the video. You are not cloaked or whatsoever after the ambush in the vid. You get the Stats while travelling towards the targets, which is a form of movement. -> 5 part bonus should only work while not moving

    That was my question...

@GreenSoup2HoT The shadow walker 5 piece actually saves me a lot in the video. Using it every so often is still super effective like Yiko said because the return is just so high. In my opinion, it is superior to eternal hunt on this build.

@Lexxypwns I haven't tried widowmaker but the reliability of viper I find to be very handy.

@Yuke I only have the 5 piece on back bar so I don't think I could do that if it is possible anyways.
