How to get crafting to level 50 in PTS?

Is there an easy way to get your crafting skills to level 50, without just making stuff and deconstructing it for 3 hours straight?

Also, less importantly, is there a way to get the Amberplasm set without actually farming it?

PTS make a copy from live, so you would probably not be able to level up crafting from scratch if you didn't have it near 50 already with the time left on PTS.


Do you have any skill points available? You could reset your skill points at redaction shrines in your main capital city for that Alliance - we are given a large amount gold on test server, so that is one option. Maybe you have another character with enough skill points to re-arrange into crafting. Don't forget to set your some passives in CP to make it possible to farm mats you need (it is account bound as far as I know so you can do it on one character you don't need to play or use your crafter for getting mats faster).

Don't forget to ask in zone chat if somebody are willing to give you items from another players crafter armor as they will not gain/loose anything by give it away. When server will be wiped they will not be able to keep any crafted sets or any gained gold from PTS.

Did you create a template character? They usually are maxed out, but sometimes certain skills get overlooked.

In this round of PTS we have crafting skill lines not unlocked on templates due to new changes which will require Your actions connected to that skill line to unlock it. For example if You want to unlock alchemy You need to craft potion.

the way i did it on template char was to decon all that Rewards for the Worthy junk clogging up my inbox...and to get to level 50 on Prov/Alch is a piece of cake...mmmm....cake

the only one i couldn't be bothered with was Enchanting as you get boxes full of gold glyphs on a template char anyway

For provisioning, enchanting and alchemy just get the multicraft addon and let it autocraft, while you are afk. For the other professions I used the rewards of the worthy mails as suggested above.
