Then lets put moondancer staves on the crown store too which will make ZOS a lot of money too. You think you deserve a moondancer staff because you finished a trial? People care about different things in MMOs, i wish you could get mounts and items by actually PLAYING the game, i know that is a weird concept for people to understand. There are 1000s of players who care more about collecting mounts in game than some best in slot gear.
So people pay tons of money to keep this game alive and you think you deserve an awesome mount like them, just because you've finished a Trial?

I honestly don't think anyone buys a mount thinking..
I'm supporting the longevity of eso.
It's either I want that mount because it's beast or Matt Frior deserves the latest ZR1 fully speccd. The day we acknowledge we have to buy cosmetics to prop the game up is the day we walk away. Development such as dlc should cover the cost and future profits and subs carry the game.
Wow, you just don't understand how video game businesses work do you? Or any business for that matter. Literally almost every game currently has some form of cosmetic pay walls to cover the huge costs making games are nowadays. Look at overwatch and destiny with their cosmetics so why should ESO be any different?
True, DLC and eso plus cover a lot of the cost, but the thing here is that they are OPTIONAL. ESO doesn't do the same crap WoW does so that players only need the base game to play whenever they want AND still have max level gear. While this is all well and good, this forces ZOS to implement other areas of revenue considering the majority of its playerbase don't have all the DLC and sub every month. Fortunately, unlike Neverwinter these other areas of revenue do not affect gameplay or the game's economy.
Be grateful that your *** horse can have maxed stats, that you can have end game gear, and you are freed from a required sub all in just a less than $20 game.
People should be rewarded for taking time to defeat the most difficult of content. It takes more time investment than spending 20 dollars in a mount

Buying mounts in games is like buying emperor, its only "awesome" if you have earned in in game.
No offense to those that have bought mounts to support the game, but in other mmos like wow, if you are in town pimpin your bought with $ mount it looks kinda bad....
The people that really made you stop in town, and think "dang!" that mount looks awesome were the people that got the rare drop.

Looks like somebody doesn't know that most difficult content takes much more than 3 hours to clear.
Zenimax please stop locking content behind pay walls! Since beta I have been wanting some sort of system that allows you to obtain mounts in game other than the horses! I believe a system similar to WOW would work and compliment ESO very nicely! I mean screw the £300 mounts, I want a Vet Trials mount that I can sit in Mournhold on!! Whats everyones thoughts?

This thread has left me speechless. I honestly can say I no longer recognize the general MMO community I was first welcomed into all those years ago.
I'm gonna go grind for draugr hulk and vipers now to make myself feel a bit better and hopefully collect the brain matter oozing from my cranium.

The thing is, someone who supports the game by sending them money (for whatever personal reason one may have) has more right of an awesome mount, rather than someone who just plays the game.
Over exagerated example of what this topic tries to accomplish:
I killed this world boss, I should get 10 crowns for this, not these casual rewards I always get.
What? Absolutely, those who are skilled enough at the gameplay should "deserve" a mount over someone who can just throw a credit card at it. It'd be awesome if there was dropped mounts from trials, can you even imagine what kind of an incentive that would be for people to run them? Adding something like the dromathra senche to the Rakkhat drop table would be huge. Maybe a cool Welwa mount for VHR, a storm atro mount (if that could even be a thing) for AA, or a troll for VSO...
This reminded me of this post from another thread:Bobby_V_Rockit wrote: »I got ny 2 divines and 3 gold VO jewellery, no more raids for THIS stam sorc hahaha
How sad is that? He got his weapons now he's done, why even bother raiding right? There's nothing to keep people here after they get what they want. There's hardly money in it, no collectible drops past the Vmol skin/busts.
As for the example you provided, I'm not even sure what to say as that has no relevance to anything. Why would that ever be an option, it's not even closely related to getting a dropped mount.

lol it'd be same for mounts duh I completed this event/trial/vet dungeon/etc. etc. got my mount don't need do that again, how sad would that be?????
I'm sorry but it's not that hard to get some crowns in the store, recycle, save up money, don't go out eat as much, etc. its not really that expensive if you actually want something in the store. This game basically is run by subs and crown store sales and to a lesser degree game sales. But in the ends its crown sales and subs that I would say are the majority of monthly money earnings.
and there are several different outfits, an assistant, and some other things that you can obtain in game (although I believe other then cp outfits you need DLC for) not to mention some cool costumes you can get just for doing quests. Although yes I know its not mounts, they still offer you several different types of horses you can purchase in the game that are cool.
