True they do not dye well (at least upriver) for the most part so buyer beware.

Though I have an old pirate set of costumes, I can't tolerate any more of those crotch to the knees baggy pants adapted to other styles so haven't bought any more of those. The Glenmoril witch one was a nice idea but too pricey and, in preview, destroyed my elf's wasp-waist and made her tiny feet look big. Plus, mid-calf hemlines on a short elf is just a no no. And the recent (Breton?) ones during preview made my scrawny elf look like her blouse was stuffed with marshmellows.
So, finally, after my picky but clothes-loving elf passed on so many recent offerings, she liked the Upriver kilt on preview. I can dye them (ESO+) and it even took dyes well. And the price was not crazy high.

I can't find a dark enough dye color that hides the pattern of the skirt (which would probably help it). SO MUCH THIS. It's hard to imagine someone killing massive baby-eating daedra while wearing sandals. I feel that way about the Glenmoril Witch Robes. That really needed boots. Sandals makes me think they'd get frostbit toes when they went to Wrothgar or Skyrim....Too many nice attire options and most ruined with sandals. ...
