So it costs $150 - $180 depending on if you want it furnished or not. Around $100 if you were lucky enough to hit the crown sale.

(where is that lol button when one really needs it. ;)

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Why that price if is only time limited? It doesn't make sense, I would buy it if it wasn't time limited, same for the furniture packs....it seems a really dumb business decission to me, since only a few players like it and would be able to buy it

Disappointed in the pricing after the recent well priced items.

This really shouldn't have costed any more than the cavern, the limited time should have been the cash boost, not an actual price hike.

What dumb logic is that? Earthtear Cavern costs 13k unfurnished.

You expect an entire island (one you can even swim around fully) to be the same or less?

I bought the island furnished :D

The only thing which makes them different to the manors is they're exclusives to the Crown Store.

ZOS has been getting a lot of flack recently for the absurd price hikes and what can only be described as greed regarding the Crown Store.

The more recent items and limited items have been well priced and they've had a lot of praise for it. With this they could have shown a little respect and said "because this is limited, we will charge the same as the cavern" but nope, just bold some more money on it.

One day I would love to actually hear from the person running the Crown Store pricing as to their logic behind this stuff, show some respect and treat your customers well and we'll buy stuff. Keep up the jacked up prices and scummy grabs and people will boycot more.

I would only buy it if it let me ride my mount, crafting materials spawned around the island, fishes spawned in the water. Maybe some wild animals. In its current state, this island looks useless. AND, since its a "limited time" sale, once the sale ends, no dev will bother to add features to the island. Sorry.

The point of the limited timeframe is for impulse buying, like when you visit a casino... Thing is if ESOs prices were more reasonable instead of this trickery guilt trip selling I would actually buy a lot more then I do but crown store prices have just gone silly so they rely on the impulse crowd

I would address the potential feeling of being left out by offering a smaller special house along side the big island. Could be small but have an added value of allowing more non-combat pets/mounts being placed compared to similar sized plots. Could be just a tent on a clearing etc etc

Plenty of people will, and it will be a successful digital product for them. The complainers here are in an extreme, extreme minority and are irrelevant. No one *needs* this island, it is extra. When people understand that they will be much happier. Either you have the money for it or you don't. That's the whole point of these expensive, limited time items.

Actually I promise you most people buying this island have been planning on it/saving up for it since being made aware of the island during homestead beta/launch. Not impulse buy.

I fully expect it to sell and like all Crown items I won't give anyone abuse for buying what they want.

I just feel ZOS can do better than this, they were doing so well the last weeks.

Premium feature for a premium price. You have to accept that not everything is going to be "affordable" for everyone, or even most people. I am sure they will sell enough of these to make it worth while.

Nothing to do with greed; it's business. These are cosmetic items that aren't required by anyone to join the game. It's like buying a limited time leather jacket that's on sale for a premium price. Does anyone need a premium, limited leather jacket? Of course not. But no one says the company releasing such product is doing it for "greed". Gamers are too sensitive and need to learn a bit about business and economics.

This is not about if someone needs the island or not, or if he can afford it or not. People who say that given price is not reasonable are not "complainers" - they're just stating the obvious fact. If I wanted to buy a book for $180 because it would give me a huge pleasure, sure - that's my choice, but that doesn't change the fact that it would be highly overpriced :-)

I have a question. If I buy the furnished version, do I need to buy all the packs things to go with it? I haven't done anything with housing yet and I really don't know anything about it. Would I need to get the island packs things anyways....just because? Should I get a few of them? IDK?

If people bought up crown packs during the sale it is $82 furnished. Not cheap but not 150 either.

As for ZOS being supposedly greedy, they could have waited till after the limited time sale to offer discounted crowns.

I suspect savvy people bought 3 or 4 5500 crown packs during the sale just for this island.

Having said that I dislike they island being limited time. I really don't want to see it in some future crown create season.

You can furnish it with whatever you like. Buy it empty and take it slow, craft yourself etc or buy it furnished or get extra packs, it's your choice of what you enjoy.

This is true but note that if you buy it unfurnished, you will not be able to upgrade to the furnished version. You would have to fully furnish it yourself. The preview will show both versions.

Personally for the relatively small price difference I would get it furnished. You can move any of those included items as you see fit.

Absolutely good point. It would even be nice to know if there is anything special included in the furnished version since that is a temporary offer only.

Ok. I'm gonna buy the furnished one. I was wandering about these packs sold separately things. Like will I need them even with the furnished one? I've heard there's limits to what you can put in your house.

I really don't know anything about housing. LOL!

Earthtear is 13k but ISNT LIMITED so I don't understand your logic, my problem isn't on the price but on the abusive practice of being time limited
