Class Tokens; allows you to change classes. What do you think?

So the new Warden class is coming with ESO: Morrowind. However I'm sure some aren't looking forward to creating a new character or yet deleting their character(s) to make room for the Warden. Others who solely played one character probably don't want to make another only for the Warden.

I like to purpose a Class Change Token concept. Much like name, race and appearance tokens the class token change your characters class. However once you change your characters class the class skill levels reset to 1 and you must level them up again.

How does everyone else feel about this idea?

With these patch notes I would 90% do a class change on my main character.

I disagree. Part of learning how to play a new class is by leveling and getting used to the abilities. If I could change to a new class at will, we'd have a bunch of max level players that don't know how to play their class...oh wait, nevermind.

If they found that people kept running to whatever the FotM class was then I'd want them taken away, but nobody can even decide what the FotM is right now so I doubt that would be an issue. It would totally be fun to rack up huge AP as a Magicka bomb-blade for a few weeks before switching back to my DK, though.

Although it is pretty shady to nerf all the other classes to make Warden look good, I have a ton of crowns anyway so Class change would save time.

My personal opinion....we should not have to pay real life money to fix zos nerfs, mistakes, scr*w ups etc....These options should be available in the game for in game gold and free everytime they make major changes. Feel the same about character customization. Everytime they nerf a class your race no longer is viable so more crown store sales for race change...why do you think they nerf?

Funny because before today these threads/polls were laughed at as P2W or just make a new character it's not hard. But today, after the nerf notes it's shut up and take my money LOL.

Give people opinion to only change their class to orc. And if someone plays some other class, charge him for 10$ monthly until he changes it to orc.

That is a good idea, sure you can change class, but, it will have to be an orc now.

I would personally like to see a class change token but if ZOS ends up doing ability skins to change animations then im good with that too.

I personally wouldn't mind a class switch. I did start making other characters but well... I'm just a casual player compared to others so I only stuck with one character.

Yes please. I have lots of crown to spend on such feature in case it got implemented before or at the time Morrowind releases.

Then people would complain that they removed them. Just better to not have them in the first place

I see as a good way for ZOS to make a profit. If people wish to change their class on a whim, who am I to tell them no?

Pft. Level an alt. It's not like it's hard. And you'd have the same CP anyway.

(plus, a different class/build would likely want different gear, so you'd still have to farm up new sets/etc. even with a class change.)

Why not? If people don't whant to use them noone is forcing them to do it.

(maybe reseting the class skill levels to 1 could be part of it so people wouldn't jump into trials/vet dungeuns without even knowing what the different skills do)

Free class change to warden.

We were promised spellcrafting and they've been taunting us with that now for years. Instead we get a new class.

Granted it's the only class I would have played had it been included at launch so it's an improvement. But I made nature themed characters and did all the boring and tedious horse feeding etc. in preparation for spellcrafting.

Why should I now pay ZO more for delivering less?

If they implemented a class change token and I mean "IF", it should be a on time only, "one token per account", no backsies if you don't like it.

In other words if you change your Templar healer to Warden on day one because you have MMO rage major mending, repentance, breath of life, radiant destruction, shards and you think Warden is the bomb because so and so posted a you tube video saying how great it was and your totally stoked.

Then you try it and realize it sucks or doesn't fit your play style or wasn't the beez knees the guy on the Internet said it was.

Well your stuck.

No matter how many complaints threads you make, calls to customer service, emails you send, bad yelp reviews you write, and letters to the better business bureau.

One token, one time, only to Warden with no return trip, untradeable one per account that is the only way.

Nope. One wouldn't be enough for me. That would be a kick in the balls.

I have multiple characters with nature themed names made in preparation for nature themed spells with spellcrafting who are now useless to me except as storage mules and for crafting assignments.

Levelled to 50 on dolmens and horse trained, partially trait researched but not played beyond that. And never will be as their existing class.

I expect, if they pay their code jockeys to code a class change feature, they will want to see some return from their investment. Thus IF they ever do this, it will cost us crowns, lots of crowns, possibly. Which would not be such a bad thing either, because if it costs enough, only those who feel really, really, really strongly about it would chase the FotM, and by doing so finance more content for the rest of us all the sooner.

And there could be other limitations coming with a class change...

But we shall see how it goes. After all, they are on record stating they never intend to do class change... though like so many other things, they might change their mind about this sometime.
